Is it just me that doesn't get toy cars..? I mean i can have a real one and do what ever in it and go places in it.

It must be an anorak thing!?

I think i grew out of toy cars as soon as i learn't to ride a pedal car/bike.. then i wanted parts for that

I have 1000's of VW models of all shapes and sizes. Not that many polos, but have a MK3 coupe and squareback and quite a few MK1's. I'll try and get some pics of my collection up :-)

Yet to find a MK2 at all, that isnt going for stupid prices way over what i like to pay.

Here is some of my collection as promised.

Seen as it is Club Polo. Here are some of my polo's. They are mostly MK1's as thats what i had when i collected most of them. Just remembered i have 2 9n's somewhere along with a fair few more more MK1s. The Red 1:24 MK1 is made to look like my old one. A mk2 polo has so far evaded me.

Heres some of my 1:43 cars. These are all by the German maker Schabak, and were the model of choice for VW dealers in the 80's and 90's. The Jetta and B3 passat are dealer issue and i have the boxes. I also have a red corrado dealer issue, but couldnt find it.

My cabinets. The display in these changes regularly, and alot of the rare stuff is normally in there. The bottom one is only part full, as the Schabak cars usually go in the top part of it.

I also have a huge load more, in big boxes and storage trays:

The boxes. Bottom 3 are crammed full of VW models. Top one is my original Tamiya Lunchbox.

Storage trays. I think there are about 30-40 cars per tray. But some are stacked two high so could be more in those.

There are more cars in several smaller boxes round my room, and others which aren't in storage boxes, as i've no more boxes to store them in.

The loft also has at least one of the big boxes full.

So i have a fair few model dubs. Haven't finished yet either. I dont like paying very much for them so dont have many of the modern expensive Minichamps and the like. I probablly have at least 1 example of most Volkswagens made. But not a mk2 polo yet.

Yeh dan if you fancy getting rid of a mk3 coupe i'll take one! :-D

i know lol I've seen odd one son german fleebay and i got mine but its tiny

loads of detail tho but 1:87 scale hehe and i paid over the odds for it

I could get more than a few real cars. The models are worth about £5K, maybe. You dont want to know whats in my loft car parts wise. Not much of its mine tho its all dads for the MK2 golf he'll probs never finish.

hio i have a quick question about the matchbox 1-75 t25 ambulances, you also have a red and yeallow t25 van along the row, have these been converted by you or are they a genuine matchbox model?

if so, where are they from?

Hi mate the vans are 2 conversions i did. The red one has been stripped and had the roof light removed and filled, before spraying. The yellow one has had all the side windows and roof light filled in, then sprayed porsche yellow to match my dads real van :-) They are just a few of the customs i have done. Theres also a beetle, another T25 and a MK1 Golf. I have a box full of about 20 of the vans, all stripped, that i was going to respray then sell at shows. Bought some cheap spray, but turns out its gone off so never finished.
