Good points: Up until last Friday it had run perfectly fine and has provided me with over three years of fun, cheap and reliable motoring. Had never missed a beat. 12 months MOT, good interior. Lots of bills/receipts etc. Full VW history until 60ish K miles. Serviced and mot'd regular by a local mechanic.

Bad points: Needs head gasket doing (had this done when i bought it at 135,000 miles). Few scraps and scratches. Heater only works on setting 3.

Volkswagen Polo GT (mine). Was running fine up until Friday then it decided to start drinking water and pumping out lots of smoke, the mechanic I use says its the head gasket - the car is being sold as seen / spares / repairs. It will start but you won't be able to drive it home so it will need to be towed. Mileage is 170,578 miles - I purchased the car 3 years ago with 130,000 miles on the clock, since then its provided 3 years of cheap and cheerful motoring, did lots of long journeys with no problems. Spent £300 in the first month of owning it getting the head gasket done/skimmed and a full mot, since then its been serviced every 12,000 miles. Its on a three day listing as I'm moving out on the weekend and my parents aren't to keen on keeping it outside the house and basically I need to shift it. NO RESERVE!

Good points

- 12 months MOT

- Taxed until August

- Pioneer radio cassette unit

- 4 good tryres

- Lots of paperwork/history/receipts

Bad points

- Key stuck in the drivers lock hence you have to open the passenger door then lean over to open it

- Non-runner sold as seen most likely needs head gasket doing

- Boot won't lock
