how come there is only just 7 db between 1 sub and more than 3????

7 db is a hell of alot every 3 db is twice as loud to the ear and to gain about 3 db you need to roughly double the power if the subs can take it

e.g i'm running 1500rms ish at the moment but will be running around 12000rms towards the end of the month (i hope)

so i'v doubled the power to 3000 then doubled that to 6000 then doubled it again to 12000 so in theory i should gain around 9 db :)

nice one thanks for that. didn't actually realise how the power/sound of ice systems worked. i guess you've got to have something like 48000 to get near the record??

once you'v got to the subs limits of usable power it won't make a difference it just creates heat the only way i could get near that score would be to tune alot hiugher and do lots of box mods but then it wouldn't play music but would do 160+ without too much trouble
