the things you do come back to you

really glad your ok Charlie, that was a really terrible thing to happen. sounds like you definately had a guardian angel, or perhaps the little mk2 jumped out of the way to save you further injury :-D

just try not to think too much about what could have happened and speculate, and just be thankful

I hope you're feeling better and get well soon, I hope you aren't in too much pain.

That's some accident, sorry I haven't said anything untill now, this was the first I heard of it.

you find out who your real mates are in times of need, and i do think that mooneyes took its own life to protect yours.

we need to go thank the lads that stopped and kept you awake while you were waiting for the ambulance because they were stars along with everyone in the hospital but spend the next two weeks getting your chillaxing flex on the go and then we can get back on track, woop

Fucking hate pulling over on the motorway!

At least your okay (well as okay as you can get after being chucked about like a rag doll!).

Thats sounds horrific, i'm glad your ok.

someone was defo looking down on you and i'm glad it wasn't worse.

Get better soon

Shit, glad to hear you're ok (as much as you can be) - you really must've had an angel sat on your shoulder that day, take it easy :-)

Sal. x

Very lucky, hope your alright!

Whatever it was that kept you safe, the car taking up most of the impact, a guardian angel or even the good luck charm, thank god you're still here with us to be able to tell the tale.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Chazbot.

Karl.

That was a close call. Glad you are ok with only superficial injuries. The amount of people you see drifting from lane to lane on the motorway its just scary what can happen.

Makes you think though, you could have known what was wrong with the car but went behind the barrier and called a recovery company, sat there for an hour thinking i could be fixing this now and be on my way and nothing may have happened. But i think its defo not worth risking having someone plow into you. Pot luck i guess with fixing a car at the roadside.

Hope you have a quick recovery and the insurance company doesn't cause you too much hassle.

Bloody hell!

Just glad you're ok! You take care, get some rest......and count the weeks until the compo cheque turns up!

omg! glad your ok!!

shame about the car - but its only a car at the end of it...

someones on your side buddy!

Thanks for all the well wishes...just got back from going to see the car and getting my bits out of it (the all important 80's shades ). I'll let the pics do the talking...

The fiesta that hit me:

Front of the polo, think it launched over the verge completely before landing in the ditch on it's side:

Back of the polo, I'd only fitted the new bumper a few days ago:

I reckon you're right Saf, lil Mooneyes sacrificed himself to keep me safe. In the process of finding out if I can get the engine back to put in another car, if not I still have my MH engine to use with the Weber Carb.

Thanks again for all the kind comments, everyone is looking after me don't worry.

fuck the bed chary char

fuckin hell! lucky escape, glad your ok dude

just read that, cold shiver down my spine....so glad you are ok and able to write that. you are a fighter mate and everyone says it but cars can be replaced (even though we sometimes dotn think they can), people simply cannot be.

Thoughts out to your family as I'm sure they have had a rollercoater of emotions.
