if it gets bad you can polish it like you would any metal. Mine was ignored for some time and had some build up on it. Cleaned off the crap work a few fine grades of wet and dry really quickly, autosol and a buff and jobs a good one.

TFR is the stuff of legends, and autosol really works well too. Thats what i use anyway, looks highly recommended tho

i had this prob with my 16v, tried a few things to no avail, in the end some meguires metal polish a cloth and some elbow grease did the job

I use Megs Metal Polish usually on mine - Autosol is brought out for the engine or for stubborn spots.

either the above mentioned or trusty 'classic' t-cut in the red bottle never failed me it's easy to apply being a liquid, not too abbrasive and lasts longer too!

I've always used Anusol which works wonders......or was that........hmmmmm
