Featured Replies

nice, 2 loons aye, greedy! plans for that one?

the black ones going into hibernation :ninja: so I'm prob gonna get the cream wheels powdercoated black. and put the suspension off the black one on, tint the rear lights red and black and silver plates. and thats pretty much it. hopefully i can get it all sorted out for inters.

Hmm.. it's been in hibernation far too long now.. and it doesn't look like it's gonna be out any time soon. Me and a mate keep threatening to steal it and make it rwd :ninja:

Whats that lurking in the background?...

Times change - back ten or so years ago you never saw saloons or Derbys at shows.

They've aged well though, I think. The Mk3 looks like a little Audi.

Or a VW Fox. The original one, not the piece of crap that replaced the Lupo.

Must dig out a pic of my old '89 CL in the show and shine back in the summer of '93. I've just given the shell away to my other half as this arrived and I needed the space...

saloon013.jpg

The '89 shell is under the car cover at the back of the pic too.

No, they're not. Someone had already robbed them and the grille before I got the car. Here's a pic some years before I bought it...

IMG_0190.jpg

Lots of parts were missing when I bought it. It had no interior except the dashboard, wheels were stock steelies, back lights were missing and the GT engine was incomplete. It was such a solid low mileage shell though and the wheel arches had been flared properly too.

I'm rebuilding it at the mo with a new interior, running gear etc.

Heres a some pics of mine :)
