1989 polo squareback

I have for sale a 1989 Mk2 polo squareback in Kirsh (cherry) red on a G plate. It has a 1043cc engine with a 4 speed manual gear box. It shows 77,836 miles on the clock.

This car has served me well over the past year, starts first time every time even in winter.

This car was given to me by my dad who owned it before me. It is a superb runner and I would say, in very good condition for its age.

As i've just got my new car i've not renewed the MOT or tax on the polo (it's currently SORN). I do however have the MOT certificates for the past 10 years and lots and lots of service history, again, as you'll see in the pics.

I'm very confident it will fly through its MOT. I had a complete new exhaust fitted about 4 months ago (stupid speed bump) and 4 new tyres just under a year ago. It's very fun to drive and very nippy, 1.2 corsa's don't know what they're messin with til its too late.

If I could afford to keep the polo I would, but unfortunately with petrol getting evermore expensive I just can't afford to keep her running so i've got to let her go.

There's a few bad points and they are:

2 small patches of rust on the roof where dad didnt clean off the bird poo

slight rust around around front wheel arch

small tear in back seat approx 1.2 inches long

tear in drivers door card (the ones that are fitted, not the spare set)

small dent in boot

new tappets wouldn't go a miss either

It is a lovely car and would make an ideal car for a true polo lover or a great car for a project. I had big plans for her but never had the spare cash.
