looking good! what technique do you use to make sure it is completly smooth before spraying? i find this the hardest part of the job!

Cheers mate, just use my hand raly nothing better than feeling it, then my next door neighbour whos does my spraying checks it, usualy its pretty good?

dont wanna hijack, but a really good tip for seeing if its smooth, is dust over it with a different coloured paint.

e.g, if its primered in yellow, spray some black over as a dust, then sand it back a bit, and where the indentations are the black will not come off.

Technical term is guide coat. The joys of sharing a unit with a painter, lol.

do you sand down the fibreglass before you put the filler on or do you just put the filler straight on once the fibreglass has dried ?

i sanded it down a little, only to get it down abit so i could put the final filler on

i would say sand the vibro glass so you haven't got so many layeers and bits in the filler, just scruff it up with sa y40 grit then filler ontop.

allso a good tip. use a quick and light coat of plastic primer first ( this will help stop cracking and flaking if the bumper bends of flexs )

use high build primer ( its thicker so if you are sanding is bit doggy with low spots and mapping out it should hide the worst )

all the works in the prep and the painting the easy bit :-D good luck oh and dont rush the job
