well done foxie, love it!

It aint towed its literally lifted onto a truck!!!!

Air-ride ftw, park illegally, deck the car to the ground, nice people cant do shit, sweet

You should come live in Peterhead!

Outside my house there is double yellows for no apparent reason, I park my car there to wash it (hose only reaches to there) Had police drive past me hundreds of times and never got anything for it :D

Foxie, I'm surprised they could lift your car at all

/\/\/\ The pic of your car in your avatar has you parked on double yellows

Exactly because its right outside my house, The closest I can park to my house is either outside my neighbours house or across the street which for some reason isn't double yellowed :? even though the size of the street is the same as my side and its even more dangerous to park there is its after a blindish summit.

i watched some no good fools lifting cars parked illegally and i wouldnt like anyone to have a go at man handling my motor like that! never mind supermarket trolley dinks!

That is a rubbish story like dean, no common sense at all, idiots.

And as for green polos.... i had a 1.9D L for less than year... what a nightmare! talk about an unlucky car mate. went thru two gearboxes, power steering went and loads more.

Get a black one. 1.4 CL, never had a single problem with it in nearly 3 years and over 40k miles! thats a bit more like it!

Things aint going to well at the moment dean. Time for a new polo, get a GT much more fun!

Can your car get towed if its left in gear with the handbrake on?

Of course it can.

The council don't care if they damage your car in the process, you have to prove it wasn't broken before hand, bodywork is easy enough to prove but a handbrake cable or a flat spot on a tyre, they'll just laugh.

The towing/flatbed trucks they use will have equipment more than capable of pulling a car through it's handbrake or dragging a car up the ramp without the wheels turning.

i work for my local council and they dont do anything like that here! More likely leave you to get on with it! I park where i like too coz my cars easily recognisable.

telling me!!!!!!!

I got my car back AND OMG what A DAY!

my mum pulled up to the gets n got out to see what she has to do n stuff and a asian guy in a council van started tooting n everything move you are car move you n I'm like mate mums instead hang on a second nononono u must move you car, then hes like you are getting a ticket n started to get his machine out n every i was gona fucking thump him one i had to run inside to get my mum to move the car fucking tossers they are all of them, then once the car was parked up on the meter for like 2 minz had to go pay the fucking £250 to get my car back, my luck is terrible at the moment I'm taking everything out the car soon and I'm gona put it up for sales once i get a new headlight and bumper...... ARGH!!!!

I had my towed a while back. I was parked illegal , I thought it was a space but it wasn't. the guy who picked it up was nice enough and we had a nice chat while I was paying (I managed to get hold of him and get to him before he took my car 80Miles to a holding compound) Reckons if I had left it in gear he would have taken the car he already had off the bed and then put mine on and towed the first car, or he would simply have got under the car and get it out of gear before he towed it. If they have a tilting bed so they can they whinch the car up it straight off the street, they often spray the floor with a soapy substance so the tyres don't take as much damage.

Incidentally on his route he had picked up an astra and was in the process of taking it to weston super mare, from Croydon. It cost me 60 for the clamp (on for 20 mins before he towed me) 250 for the tow, and 54 fucking VAT, yes VALUE added tax I nealry lamped him after he told me that bit.

What woul be your position if you tried to claim TWOC?

isnt it the police who can do something if your car is parked on the pavement? cause the NCP down here cant give you a ticket/tow your car away if its on the pavement... outside my dads shop theres more cars parked on the pavement than the road including mine most the time lol
