are double red lines even legal? EDIT! just looked at the highway code and it appears they are special lines found only in london. explains why I've never seen them before!

The police most likely cant be bothered with the paperwork! I'm starting to wonder what we actually pay them for ?

We asked them the other week to spare us 5mins as we had to get our work truck out a narrow lane and there was a cock who'd parked his car across from this lane, 2 wheels on the pavement outside a shop.

Their response was that we cant do anything (bollox - causing an obstruction) until my driver (ex city of london cop) pointed out it was parked illegally and where and what he used to do for a living! Out came the ticket!

I was always told to steer clear of green cars because they were unlucky. Always just thought it was an old wives tale. But obviously not. Oh yeh and never buy a car which number adds up to 13!!

I twatted my first mk1 into another car and damaged the front, it was legally parked in a layby in my street (20 house cul-de-sac) and it was towed after 2 weeks of it being parked there, t+t and insured. they said it was a danger to public safety because the front bumper was hanging, i wasn't allowed it back, it got squashed and i couldn't even get my personal belongings out!!

there were some recent theives in my area too with fake council stickers towing modified motors that were parked up for a while, police didn't care!!
