i was told ebay but then i decided to use mark it out and use spraypaint.

the bra was actually my brothers, for a mk1 golf. but fitted my mk2 breadvan better than it did the golf. he got it off a website, sorry cant remember what one, was about £50 at the time

ebay is good, search for chequered in car parts etc and there are plenty of buy it on on mini chequered roof vinyl, if you message them asking for a certain size, eg the dimensions of your roof they should be able to get one specifically to you for around the same price

I did mine myself and it cost me literally £4!! bought 1m sheets of black vinyl from ebay for about £1.20 a sheet. piece of piss to do really just cut your own squares. obviously helps if your car is either black or white lol

Don't be lazy just cut some card out or use same tape to mask bits off and go mad with a spray can :-D

I did mine about 6" which seemed like a good idea at the time but they were alot of work lol, better off making them bigger, up to you though!

I've got my ideas but i dont want to go far ..

WOnt be long till people copy the bits and pieces too

Tbf with a car that looks as good as yours mate i dont think itl matter if people copy it cos itl still be the nuts! youl just know they copied you! i fancy having some chequered seats but the interior in mine is pristine so would be a shame to get rid, got it covered up atm for wen i come to sell it. need some inspiration. wish you could get a chequered autobra like the ones for the beetles and vans.

nice mate! tis a popular choice gonna do it today i think, always think its a cool little touch.

i painted this on a new mini race car took me a around 37 hours to do it

they are the same car but it had a re-spray last year

chequered roofs etc is far to played out now since all the non-vag "euro" cars are doing it!

thankyou! lol, i dont really think theyr played out, I've only ever seen 2 cars with chequered roof 1.mini and 2. ford fiesta zetec s LE. The polo's have got a lush flat roof so goes well. Checks are just sumthin a bit fun!

unfortunatly that wasnt air brushed the main shape was cut out useing a hell load of masking tape sprayed then the shadowing was done using a mini jet gun and a carefull hand

and i work for bmw at the plant in oxford
