Nah I'm keeping the Borbets, just getting them sprayed in something like 'Full Royal Sport Bronze' (frsb).

Like this;

nah it's just standard.

any updated pics of how the car stands atm?

not really no, i haven't got it where I want it anyway, the fronts are the lowest they can go now but the rears need a few mm coming down, come Spring/Summer I'll sort it. I'll try and get some pics during the Christmas period into the new year when it has it's new year makeover 8-)

Looking forward to it

thats gorgeous that is mate :)

what where the angel eyes like at night? and how did you split the standard lights and where did you paint on the inside just the edges?

this things so damn clean :)

  • Author

Cheers, the angels weren't that bright at night, infact they were quite horribly dim

split the lights in the oven, take bulbs out glass side up about 5mins at 100-150 then just gently lift glass with screwdriver

painted the non reflective parts only ie; the rigid parts.

It's not so clean now hasn't been washed in weeks.... Far too cold

infact just notice this morning someones hit the left rear on the bumper it's taken away the paint, pissed off very much......needs spraying.

well start off bad news some twatty bollock decided to do a hit and run, not too bad but needs a respray

brakes013.jpg

on a lighter note I've been refurbing some valver breaks to replace my 8v ones, would have gone g60 route but 16v are the biggest i can go whilst keeping the borbets as they're 14's.

carriers, calipers, pads and discs

brakes002.jpg

hubs

brakes008.jpg

brushed them down ready for a lick of paint

brakes007.jpg

one of the hoses has split so i might just get some stainless hoses

brakes005.jpg

brakes014.jpg

in no rush to get them on as i might get some uprated discs and pads instead of using the oe ones and get stainless hoses. Also need to loosen the bleed nipples which are being a bastard especially trying not to break them.

Anywho cant wait for its new year makeover.........................should be :? :lo:

That just means you have an excuse to put a 16v bumper on!

:ninja:

  • Author

Yeah I might just do that, it'll probably just cost as much getting the 8v one resprayed, just need to find one in White 16v

re-spray it yourself mate. i did and it looks fine :) loving the car btw!

  • Author

Cheers, well I'm going to be sorting some bodywork out over Christmas so I might do it then I hope, might just try and source a 16v one.

looking really good mate, shame about the bump? how are you going about painting your calipers?

what colour you going for?

  • Author

Tell me about it it's annoying I have a feeling it was my next door neighbour too

well have to unseize the bleed nipples first. When I can get some heat on them to loosen them I Will get them painted, think I'll just go smooth black hammerite, also found that the sliders are seized so not too sure what the pistons look like as I haven't looked yet, hoping that they're ok :?

Looking at getting uprated discs and pads, been looking at brembo stuff, anyone reccomended any brands?

I've also got braided hoses now as one of the originals had split.

  • Author

Finally got the pistons and bleed nipples undone thanks to some heat, so i got underway painting. They've been done in black satin engine paint.

Also got some new braided hoses for them.

They're pretty much ready to fit but not till the new year as its BRASS!!!!! Also still unsure whether to get new discs and pads, will just have to see what funds are like after xmas i guess.

:ninja: I see no 16v rear bumper... :ninja:
