I'm spending too much time in here now, haha, but I'm looking at cobra suzukas or imolas. Maybe a suzuka drivers and imola passengers seat (or even monaco, depending on finances at the time), the imolas wider, I sat in a few cobras at autosport this year, and the imola and monacos were both wide-ish (monaco far more than the imola), not thatttt comfy. IMO, suzuka was nice, obviously its a fairly personal thing.... Driftworks do some really nice custom stitched cobras, but might look a touch wrong in a FWD car...

all the recaros seemed soooo comfy though! :(

i really want to get some Brides though :-(

Same my friend, same. Iv given up on that dream though, I wont be making enough money for that till atleast september! I'm just going to get some nice buckets, strip my car out, carpet it with some ebay interior carpet (apparantly you can get a big old roll off ebay for about £10? My mate did out his mini interior with it and adhesive, was a pretty nice job to be honest. and a wheel for now, spray my wheels a funky colour, and do an engine conversion i think :)

Not too JDM really, but a little different from the euro norm!

If you get brides, I will be beyond jealous!

So alot of people have been saying that the orange indicators dont go with the bronze wheels and clear indis would be better, I decided that i wanted to keep the orange ones but tint them instead. At first i thought a light smoke tint just to darken them abit wouldbe suitable, what i didnt realise is that darkening the orange would turn them a brown/bronze colour :retard: which is a bonus as now they match the wheel colour :-D

looks cool mate! love it! Your repeaters match your wheels now!

loosk awsome mate,

all you need now is a stud conversion so your running nuts instead of bolts.

get some anodized nuts, :)

Cheers dudes, bolts do let the wheels down I think, I might try and get some covers made up

can get anodized nuts in gold, blue, red and black.

and the studs.

Looks Even Better!

Well started on the interior and decided i needed a new wheel, the obvious choice would be the momo team 280/300, but i didnt really want one of them. I got looking and decided to choose the OMP Corsica deep dish 320mm suede wheel. So i ordered one and at the same time ordered a OMP boss for a mk3 golf (same as mk4 polo) from rally nuts.

They arrived during the week and today i fitted it, i managed not to set the airbag off and break my nose  pics,

Cheers guys, need to take it off and straighten it as its slighty off centre, also the royal fail struck again and lost my postal order I sent to get some suede to trim my door cards, gutted....

  • Author

Just had a £400 late night impulse buy  Not really sure I can afford to of done :?

Should be here in a couple of weeks. :D

also bought some more material, let's just hope the royal mail don't fuck up again. :x

Well on Friday the postie delivered several metres of suede, the same stuff that the headliner and pillars are done with. So yesterday i decided to crack on with trimming my door cards.

My god it was harder than i first thought, fustrating is probably the right word, it's the trying to keep the creases to a minimum which is the hardest part. Managed to get them finished this afternoon and i put them back in, i've also given the door pockets a once over in black as they were grey originally.

Will do the rear cards in the future at some point. The pics are a bit dark sorry, i took them about 2 hours ago

Well last sunday i started work on upgrading the brakes from 8v to 16v, the list of things to do were,

New wishbones and balljoints

New track rod ends

Hubs

Calipers and Carriers

New Brembo discs and Ta-rox Corsa pads

New braided hoses

but ended up needing new cv joints and an offside brake pipe from the resevior :x

This pretty much could of been done in 2-3 days, it turned out to take 6 days :( basically the usual stuff of bolts not coming undone but it were the hubs not coming off that took the longest basically the cv joints were rusted to the old hubs and nothing could make them come out, ended up pulling them off the driveshaft so i bought new ones which took a couple of days to arrive. Also another thing that took the piss was the driver side brake hose, the union bolt was rounded so undoing it was not going to happen, ended up cutting the pipe and getting a new one made up.

Anyway got it all bolted up yesterday and bled the brakes,

My nice bit of detailing

I then fitted the wheels. Now i know people say 14's fit over valver brakes with ease, but take a look at this,
