banded steels look too ill man, love it

common with in the vw/polo scene, not common at all compared to 90% of modified cars you see driving about daily

well thats my view anyway, like you said, its common for a reason

spot on view mate, nobodys polo looks like mine round here, so yeah... ram it up on a forum full of euro polo modding freaks, and your bound to get some very simular/played out styles.

and to the people saying I'm crazy using it as a daily, you get used to the noises, and it takes them like a fucking champ :> i would like to run it lower, but the gti splitter sits about 1cm off the ground.

some really nice cars there :o that is real low did i spot a gti splitter too? works really well

do those gti splitters fit on 8v bumpers??

& have you taken the helper springs out, cos mine are wound the whole way down, no thread left but not near as low as that!

I'm running 14s btw with 195/45s if that any comparrason to your 13s, weather that makes a difference in the major lowness lol

"you get used to the noises, and it takes them like a fucking champ :>"

get them sparks flying haha

yes its a gti splitter. I'm not to sure if it would fit to an 8v bumper as the 8v bumper is slightly shorter? this is why the 8v splitter doesnt fit on a 16v bumper.

my coilovers dont have helper springs? there fk silverlines, go 120mm down but I've got about a 10mm of thread left to go on them too, so i could get it much lower if i wanted. I'm sure you said somewhere that yours is 95mm down?

13's would make a difference... but i hightly doubt your going to get any lower than me with wide 14's as you cant tuck them in the arch's :<

yerr 8vs are a bit shortr on the sides

any idea what sort of splitter would fit then? wouldnt mind having a deeper one ;)

ah fair nuff, iv got the phil j jobbys which only go 100mm [only!] so if i wanna take it lower i ahve to take outthe helper springs which would give me another 20mm

nah i was 90 front, 75 rear at 1st [mentioned it in my thread cos that was the height at the time of some of the early photos] but wound them down some more when they settled

yerr the rear wont go any lower with out serious scrubbing! i had 3 other people in my car [would have said no normally but they were some nice girls haha :p] needless to say i got some scrubbing & a half! i will get some shots of the damage, but you know, got to sacrafice for situations like that ;)

the front doesnt scrub at all, the stretch is missed, only jsut tho. only problem is now round certain hard corners at speed, instead of the arch bouncing off the tire, it misses, then my wishbones smash the floor! haha oops

all bout the sparks 8-)

dude! take the fuckin splitter off,you know it makes so much sense :D just for shits and giggles to see how low it can be! i think 20pence piece is easy!

and to be fair, this is THE lowest Mk4 not on FannyBags!

prove me wrong!

Jamie

if someone prooves you wrong. i promise i will lower it even more :>

Man I never thought I'd say this, but a badged grill suits the modified 16v bumper much more than the debadged one.

Lovin' the silver Polo on banded steels.

cheers mate :>
