MAJOR FAIL!

Sold as seen is worth as much as the paper its written on in a court of law.

Depends if the sale is:

Private seller-private buyer

Trade seller-private buyer

Trade seller-trade buyer

Anything I sell is generally cheap, so it's described as "Sold as seen with defects"

You're best off describing the defects in writing and getting the buyer to sign a copy, so they can't claim you didn't tell them about them.

I imagine that's why a lot of cars are sold as 'spares or repair'- that makes it clear that the car is a collection of parts not a roadworthy vehicle.
