I'm not sure about de-chroming it - I quite like the chrome but it does need the full set.

It's not cheap though - £250 for the bumper and door strips! And that's unpainted.

Eibach Pro Kit went on at Perkins Automotive today. :)

It's still running in (had just rolled out of the workshop in that pic) but I'm dead chuffed. Low enough to look right over the wheels, but the ride quality and speed bump clearance is still there. :)

Well, for the first time, I sold a car today. The Passat has just gone to its new owner.

It's an odd moment for me. I bought the car when I got the job at Max, because it was the closest thing to a press car that I could afford. Selling it is that one last tie to Max, and now it's gone it really feels like the end of an era.

Gone, but not forgotten. Hope the new owner (Nineiron) enjoys it as much as I have. :)

Two weeks today there's a VW press event at Turweston, and they're letting people drive the Polo GTI (among others). I'm gonna go in the G40, if it's ready and healthy. Hasn't been started for a long time.
