:lol: has i had the call back yet saf. :p

fucking factory recalls for cheese bearings, they said they had never heard of a mk1 polo before and recommended that i take it to the netherlands and get some upgraded edam bearings.

spotted a lonely looking GT lying in the corner of the unit so off out with the engine which is now sitting in the crashbots engine bay.

muchos appriciation to giorgio and char for thier help getting it in, fingers crossed we may have it running for the end of the weekend smile.gif

also managed to swap the early rear bumper for a brand new chrome late bumper and i know a friend who has a nos rear trim and end caps which i shall be having woop

Running Gear

Change Steering Arms

OS Driveshaft Hub Needs Washer

Driveshafts need torquing up

Brakes

Fit two new bleed nipples on front calipers

Bleed Brakes

Engine

Fill with Oil & Coolant

Bolt up water pump

Fit Throttle Cable

Find Vaccuum Hoses

Fit New Cam Pulley

Set Static Timing

Refit 5 Speed Gear Linkage

Wiring

Wire Up Lambda Probe (White, White, Black)

Wire up In Line Fuel Pump ( Brown, Red w/ Yellow Stripe )

Wire up In Line Tank Pump & Sender ( Brown, Red w/ Yellow Stripe, Purple )

Wire ECU Loom

Splice dash loom

Heavy Duty Exhaust Rubber x 1 - GSF

2 Brake Bleed Nipples - GSF

New Steering Arms (86c)

Water Pump Bolts x 2 (86c)

Camshaft Pulley & Woodruff key - 030 109 111 (86c)

Dizzy Cover Bolt x 2

edam bearing sounds fancy, someone offered me a cut price brie wedge the other day. To pack out the cracker cam, but I thought it would upset the timing a bit so I didn't bother.

What I found to piss me right off the other day was I changed my water biscuit gasket & the bugger split straight away..............
