if you hate the club so much. why the fuck are you still here?!?

In fact if you can run a club so well why don't you start your own and stop moaning all the time about how things are done here?

the point i have is the "forum" is a virtual club the people are great we all try and help one and other but as as far as the face to face part of the club goes .....club membership is £5 which is f all but members get f all no mags/no stickers no local meets not a lot realy

People do get mags, stickers and goto local meets. I arrange the North East meet every month and we are getting better and better turn outs every month. Especially in the summer months when the weather is nice. At the end of the day we can't force people to go to shows and meets, its up to the members to do that. The members make the club, not the staff. If people don't go to things then there isn't anything we can do about it. After all we promote it all we can.

You came to Polo Show, you saw it all for yourself. We have advertised the Polo Show all year round, we set up a specific Polo Show forum, we tried to find a new venue, set up a gazebo, bought a club BBQ but if people don't show up all that stuff is useless.

There was ONCE an issue with memberships getting lost and thats all that people seem to remember. No one remembers when me and my missus sat on a nice hot sunny day in an office doing 250 membership packs, no one remembers the headache we went through with billing because a few members chose to be arseholes and lost billings trust in us and left us trying to find a new venue, no one remembers that everyone who works for club polo is a volunteer and the only pay they get is people winging at them but they continue to do it, no one realises that a forum with as much traffic as this needs a lot of time and dedication to stop it being spammed or attacked in any other way, theres a lot that goes on behind the scenes. To most people its just a forum that seems to magically run on it own but its far from it.

So if all you want to do is winge about it. Either suggest something that can help or bugger off somewhere else.

People work there ass off for this club, put a lot of time and dedication into it and all we seem to get is a kick in the bollocks and told were shit at it and I'm getting sick of being nicey nicey about it.

eeeek what a farce this thread has turned into, i dont give a poop how the club is run to be honest but i do know all you admin do work hard to keep the club on track, i seen yeti doing nuff membership packs adn its just the tip of the iceberg as hes got nufty to do and the work is being shared equally or divided up between all you guys.

i can understand the show is a logistical nightmare as is [sp] running a large scale forum

but thats not really the topic of discussion here is it?

Its about a little polo and tbh laura aint too arsed a bout being banned, i just thought it was a bit childish that she wasn't given a proper reason. but testicles doesnt have the best way with words as i found out at polo show the year before last with my gayzeebo

anyway can we clean this topic up please or move some of the discussion and replies to somewhere more appropriate like suggestions or somewhere in the members section.

ps. i love club polo for some retarded reason, I've met nufty cool people off here and we've all got on really well, I've got respect for all the hard work you guys put in as its hard enough in life to get the normal day to day stuff done and work on your cars without having the forum to moderate and sort out but it comes with the territory of additional after hours work, its always going to be dreadamon and your going to have to give up things you want to do from time to time that be life. but that said you guys/gals do a good job, just sometimes maybe a little more decorum is needed but that said could swing on the other foot for us forum and club members who just need to take a chill pill from time to time :)

Right, I am getting really fed up with threads going completely off topic and having a go at the admin team. Dirrt was given the reasons for her ban and as Dave explained it was only for 3 days, it's not open for discussion by the masses.

Please can we get this back on topic so that it doesn't get closed as there are genuine questions that Saf/Dirrt would like answering in here, one more off topic comment and I will close and delete it myself.
