recently took my euro polo off road to complete my vr6 turbo conversion. thought i could have it complete for the polo show 2008 but unfortunatly havnt got it done. engine running at 400bhp at minute and still wants tweaking. anyone else ever done a conversion on here? cheers jud

I've built this just about ready for my mk4 polo ,it will eat any vr6 polos out there here it is

580bhp beast

6speed gearbox/short shifter/lsd/4wd,

rebored 83mm pistons

r32 crank

v8 custom rods

big valve head

263 high lift cams

wosnor pistons

9.1 spacer

44mm wastegate

750cc injectors

turbo

stand one ecu

and I've also cut my rear axle down to make it 4wd ,

as i carnt find and vr6 turbo 4wd mk4 golfs,,

this is why i need info on whats basicly used to the engine in a mk4 polo,,i.e mounts cradle,driveshafts ????

if you do the conversion it will handel like a pig ,

i had a mk3 golf VR6 before my polo and you new it had a big engine up front it was VERY front end heavy and i had coilovers on and it still felt front end heavy,

if you do do it you will have one little monster

TBH mate, you would have to modify the:

strut mounts

extend the front by a couple of inches for radiator, engine, etc

probably pull the arches out to accomodate the new engine, gearbox, driveshafts, modified struts

custom driveshafts for the length, PCD between bolts, the size of them to cope with power

Even after all that, you have to get different shocks to cope with the weight balance and shift. It's a hell of alot of money. If you have pulled it off, hats off to you mate but if your talking out your house, don't expect anyone on here to accept stuff you say and laugh at you.

580bhp from a vr6 is stupid, and no1 would do that in a polo anyways,20Vt are where the powers at. Theres a 330bhp 20vt on here that probably wheelspins everywhere lol.

580bhp, and its gonna pull you into the nearest hedge.
