right guys I'm mr adaptorman ,,,,,just had a complete read of these conversion ,and lots of things have been mixed up and thown all over so ,ill start over to sort confusion out ,,

starters yes I'm the guy who fitted a 5clyinder twin turbo 5manual in the rear of a type1 beetle etc yes it dose 155mph without any probs and 12secs quarter bla bla

second daily some u you may seen is my ratty 1961 splitty pickup ,with I've thown a 6clyinder quad cam 24valve t a aircool gearbox again ,its quick enough for a tax free daily bla bla .

my lastist projects are ,(as i like homemade stuff ,,,vws) is a mk1 golf caddy witch I've built a 500plus 2002 24valve 4motion turbo lump ,with specs listerd ,which is going into a mk1 golf caddy ,yes i know it will be nuts and yes i know it will be front end heavy thats why i fitted the 02m 6speed gearbox ,,and transfor box to run 4wd with my own built haldex controller,so there will be approx 250bhp runing thew each axle ,then once into 3rd ill run 2wd drive,,,

nice and rottern just how i like projects lol

right regards this old naily polo I've got the old blue touch ,,,burning gun ,and ripped the lot out ,as icouldnt find mutch info on which engine they use ,ill save time and just make ,,,so then i can fit the engine were ever needed,yes this engine as turboed over 400bhp ,but basicly it would rip the hell out of the 6n polo,,,lol ,so I've rebuilt back to std spec for the guy ,but 200bhp vr6 chipped will be a hand full in a polo ,,evern thow ill give the 2weeks until it rolled up side down into a tree as with all ,young chavs,,,there right foot seems t get clued to the floor,,, so all the crap above really wants cleaning up ,and ill add pics photes the easyer way of getting one in ,,,,,hope this helps and clears things up ,,,,,,, :-D

from the lower contingency. tek that as me haha. right then pal i think what happens is when u put a big engine in a car that isnt designed to take the power or weight it increases the speed. power to weight ratio. so a 200 bhp engine is still going to put out 200bhp but will be faster in a lighter car than its designd for. like pushing a fat nice person in a wheel chair is going to be harder than pushing a skinny nice person but the person pushing has the same power (bhp). I'm no specialist though so ask the man who can.

so where on earth did you get 580BHP...

but what i dont get is there is still two storys pinging about...your saying its a crappy "200bhp chipped engine"

your engine guy is saying it was a "400bhp engine" your saying you built it up "almost ready" to 580BHP he saying its back down to 200BHP

which one is it please clear up the confusion

also just to finish...granted YES it will still FLY past my 1.4 8v polo but at 200bhp, try, just try and keep with my 180bhp Westfield (which is Standard btw)

and I've also cut my rear axle down to make it 4wd ,

as i carnt find and vr6 turbo 4wd mk4 golfs,,

this is why i need info on whats basicly used to the engine in a mk4 polo,,i.e mounts cradle,driveshafts ????

cheers for the replys ,end of day its a polo ,,take no notice of polo man ,if i sayits a 200 bhp then thats end out ,its stated above which wrote in black and white.... the 580bhp lump is my later 4motion 24v v6 which I'm fitting into my caddy and running 4wd ,,god this therd is so mixed up it wants totaly scraping a fresh one ,without all the pokys ,,,,,
