I'm looking to add a security device of some sort to my car aswell soon (6n), i was thinking about removing the door pins and getting a sterring wheel lock

on a serious note tho, so far i have an alarm, delocked handles, (remote central locking) i have flush door pins on order and i will be gettin a disc lok some time,

were abouts can you buy flush door pins?

I'm also going to have to beef up security for reasons of moving to university possibly in September.

I've been running through various ideas as I have a subwoofer on show which I'd ideally like to stop being viewed.

I've came up with these options:

Invest in a highly rated alarm £250-£300 MAX

Invest in a disclok

Install a fuel pump cut off and a battery cut off switch.

Possibly have the rear 3 windows tinted but I'm under the impression that this would give the idea that I have something to hide and therefore would be a cause for concern about the fact it may attract thieves to have a gander.

Get rid of pretty much everything out of the car that I can and try to leave nothing on show.

I already have a flashing LED in my head unit but would invest in 2 separate ones and have them flash one after the other in a suggested imitation of an alarm system.

I'm thinking of investing in or making a pull over sheet that I can attach a roller from beneath my parcel shelf and create a tie around the headrests of the front seats (as I have the rear stripped out and false floored. Something like what some estates have or 4x4's

Here's it straight, mk2's are an easy target for car theives after an easy joy ride.

Kill switches, immobilsers, etc. Yeah, they might let you keep your car, but they'll fuck up your dash and wiring trying to hotwire it before they give up.

Uprated door locks/plates: Fair enough, we'll use a window instead.

Alarms: Work, so long as you hear it, and are a bit handy, as everyone else'll ignore it.

Gear stick locks: 2 seconds to get off on a manual.

Cheap steering wheel locks: give me 2 mins
