Idiot tailgaters

Featured Replies

I had one last night on the A46 between Lincoln and Market Rasen. I had a 9 month old baby in the back seat though so wasn't going to try any braking. I just pulled in at the nearest pub to let him past.

Yes, lets risk being crashed into with a 9 month old baby in the back. SENSIBLE THING TO DO THAT IS.

^^^^^

Thats a fair point

not at all, your risking things like this happening driving around anywhere? anyone could crash into you at any time and you cant avoid it in some cases, if the person that was tailgating you was in that much of a rush they would of eventually slowed down or over taken you.

what gives someone the right to force you to pull over just to let them past??!

Nothing, but if they crash into you, even if its not your fault. You still have to go through the hassle of getting everything sorted through insurance. If they don't have insurance then thats just going to fuck stuff up even more. Even though you are in the right and they are in the wrong sometimes you have to just think about whats best and do that. Even though it might not be fair or right.

I'd rather pull over than have someone go into the back of my car. Even if its not my fault, with the way things are going with the arsehole who drove into me regarding insurance. Its not something I want to ever have to do again because its a royal pain in the arse.

There's a massive difference between not being able to avoid a car crash and avoiding someone that you can see being potentially dangerous and getting out the way of them.

Nothing gives them the right to make me pull in, and normally I'd just carry on driving because it's my life there. But if you don't see the difference of being more careful/cautious when you've got a baby on board against tailgaters, then I have no words because if I had to slam on, and he'd have gone in the back of me from lack of time, he would have done some serious injuries to my friends baby and frankly, it's not worth it by far.

I'm confused at what your laughing at here

do you find it funny that people protect their kids?

I've pulled in before simply because I couldn't be arsed with been paranoid about some dick behind me, I didn't want to go slow because I wanted to get somewhere but I also didn't want to go double the speed limit just so some idiot isn't up my arse!

Good Topic, I remember when my brother had his Polo GT, Mr white van man was really close so just slowed right down to about 20mph. Needless to say the guy was not happy, shaking his head, hands raised, etc.

Then we slow down to let a tractor out and then we pull into the same junction........:lol::lol:

when it comes to stuff with kids it's not on! i'm afraid i'd have lost it got out and probably fed the bloke a knuckle sandwich!

kids are innocent and any avoidable 'risk' is very wise! if it was just me in the car then i wouldn't think twice about jumping on the anchors and risk some idiot smashing into the back of me! but a child could be severley injured in such a collision! thats not fun at all!

I was thinking about this topic tonight, in the polo with 2 mates going down some random country lanes and a clio gets behind me. Never driven the road so I'm a bit wary and slow. Never the less I'm going 40-50 not having a clue what the roads about to do. the clio by now is rite up my arse. I leave it a while, tapping the breaks every now then then. they still keep up my arse. soo I bumped it into neutral and just let it do what it wanted to. got to 20 and kept at that speed haha. this was on a national speed limit road haha. they then decide to overtake on a strait bit. they go slowly taping the accelerator for some reason lol. so i hoofed it but they carried on to go in front of me, very very close to spinning them out if id have hit them. Was full of chavs btw, 3 in the back haha, low as fuck it was.

They then did the same to me but ended up with cars behind me as well. i just carried on leaving a nice gap between them, they eventually got bored and sped off.

Sorry about the essay lol, just thought id share.
