Erm tbh i cant remember mate,

but i think they were 10mm's and the way i did it the first time on my old white CL was to put a few 10mm nuts on the studs in the SPi unit and the last one was on like half a thread but tight on the others so id didnt move, then using to 10mm nuts, bolt the elbow to the remianing thread of the nut.... was a bodge but made it fit! :unibrow:

how can that work lol, confusing lol

the studs arent long enough, so if i go to like B&Q or somewhere like that and buy 10mm wide bolts and 10mm nuts, its should work?!?

how do i get the old studs out?

how come you have a mrk 3 Polo when you have a cool Mini Cooper?

You dont need to take the old ones out. its confusing but yeah. I'm probly not the best person to be giving advice on this as mines bodge fit.. i dunno woh other people did it.

Try postin a help/how to in the tech forum as i really cant remember how i did it and dont wanna cause damage/expense by tellin u the wrong thing

Fitted a GT arch kit, made a sort of fake floor, chequered the roof and also fitted a 1.6 ABU injector.. goes a bit better now.

Hope you like.

love it! i think you have the vynal door cards instead of fabric... if so take a spray can to them and do a few thin even coats! they will luk awsome!

  • Author

Thanks.

nah, the doorcards are fabric.. i have some black leatherette to retrim them with but they're awkward to do without creases but it was my intentionto do the front doorcards.

was also gonna get some black carpet to retrim the fake floor in but that my have to wait til payday.

Decided to mess around with my doorcards again today.

Found some more chequered material i used for my old Mk3 golf so did a bit of trimming. I also have some black leatherette material which i started to do the top half in but i couldnt get it to sit right without creasing.

Its only a staple-gun job so its a bit ghetto but i like it.
