=================================

Limited time left to purchase your Showplates

You may have seen in the press that from 1st November 2008 it will become an offence to sell or manufacture registration plates that do not conform to the latest British Standards and design criteria laid down by the DVLA.

Consequently the ability to purchase Showplates displaying non-legal fonts/spacing/images/slogans etc will be outlawed.

As a result, My Showplates can only supply Showplates until 30th October 2008.

With this date looming and Christmas fast approaching we wanted to give you as much notice as possible to enable you to place your orders and avoid any disappointment. Here is a direct link to our website:

We appreciate and thank you for your past support.

Regards

I'm NOT SCARED

Fight the power!!

There's going to become a black market for pressed plates.

Does this mean they will stop auto spares shops et cetera from producing plastic plates with different fonts?

Glad I ordered my US plates a few months ago. :D

It is illegal to sell or manufacture registration plates that do not conform to the latest British Standards and design criteria laid down by the DVLA but not to sell or manufacture registration plate style signs. So as long as you are buying a sign that may be in the style of a UK or EU number plate I can't see it being a problem.

I very much doubt the guys at car shows selling show plates will stop.

What about black and white plates for classic cars?

Stick on plates?

Signmakers will make them providing they have the presses.
