i got some random mk2 bits kicking about as well...

buy yourself some new wishbones and polybush them, and get yourself an eibach arb, some proper bushes on that, and a weitec kit. then you'll really see how they out-handle polo's!

Suspension wise at the moment its lowered 60mm on a SPAX kit so the ride is pretty mint compared to my philj kit on the Polo.

even though i bought a 3 series after i sold my polo I've secretly got a hankering for a mk2 16v

16v's are great fun!

Things done a couple of weeks ago:

- Re-wired oil feed wire,

- Checked: Poor running + timing, cam timig + cam shaft, belt timing, compresions, fuel pump,

- Sealed breather system,

- Secured airbox,

- Repaired collapsed inlet pipe plastic,

- Replaced all vacum pipes,

- Cylinder head housing and coolant,

All that and a few parts and labour cost £220.

Then today these things were done:

Replaced:

Cam Belt,

Tensioner,

PAS belt,

Alternator belt,

Waterpump,

Cam seal,

Rocker seal,

Thermostat,

Inlet gasket,

Fuel filter,

Foglight,headlight,sidelight bulbs,

Oil,

Oil filter,

K&N Panel Filter,

Total Cost - £350

So basicaly as i sold the Polo for £1500 and bought the Golf for £1000 i have used the £500 spare money.............

Still need tyres - 4 x 195/50/15 Toyo's for £125 looks like a plan.

Went to Storm Development today and got 150.3bhp! Not to shabby considering the only mod is a K&N panel filter. Also at the time i had a ruined exhaust system.

BUT, it was fate, i had been eyeing up a system that was on the floor by the rollers and just before we left the bloke asked me if i wanted to buy it - for £100, too right, what a result as its only a couple of months old.

A healthy valver will make upto 155brake standard with the WUR mod... really good motors.

Well its had plenty of things replaced/serviced but the only actual mod is the K&N filter - well chuffed.
