GT's are hardly a transit van, yeah there older than say a 6n but no worse a car.

still have decent-ish build quality and to say some are 18 + years old! love to see how many 6n's are around when there 18years old...i know mine wont be!! i pursuming you think its a 'poor mans VW' because its old...so if you drive a Mrk 1 mexico you have a poor mans Ford?

someone said a 5 door VW is a poor mans volkswagen, how does that even make sense? like having a 5 door mercedez saloon and calling it the poor mans mercedez because you couldnt afford a 3 door instead?

i do favour 5 door when i have a car full of people tho

if a car comes with the option of coming in 3dr, the 3dr always looks better

for example, 5dr suits big saloons, but if you turn the big saloon into a big coupe, it looks 10x better imo

3 doors look much nicer, there are nice examples of 5 door polos, but i always think how much better it would look in a 3 door

Depends on the car really.

I think an swallow tail non-GTI mk1 Golf looks better as a 5 door if done in a retro style. Where as a GTI mk1 looks better as a 3 door. I think 6Ns look a bit rubbish in 5 door but RS4 looks awesome with all its doors.
