Anyone know if he'll take £250?

are you for real????

F**K OFF RETARD it was a scam

bunch of cocks! gutted for u ray u never have any luck

Anyone know if he'll take £250?

joking aside its not that funny if you been scammed out of your hard earned dollars....

Urgh :-( just read this and it is sickening that someone is willing to take advantage of peoples interests and enthusiasm and scam them out of hard earned money. On a sale forum where sales are based purely on trust this sort of thing is just out and out wrong. Seems like the sensible step has been taken regards informing the police.

LOL at that pic of him on clubpolo. That is the single best pic i have ever seen on here.

Rae what happened to the engine you put in the colourconcept?? Did you get it up and running.

Anyways good luck to all those involved and keep pressure on the law to do their damn duty as they can be lazy about stuff like this

On behalf of Rae yes the car is up and running - well minus an exhaust.

we were going to use this engine as a new 'project' but obviously this hasnt happened now, were just £400 short.

We haven't heard anything back from the police yet though. I hope we find something out soon.

Twin40racer - SERIOUSLY give over now - this was all a scam - there is no engine!

why dont we go round and GET the money back?

why dont we go round and GET the money back?

Because the Police have told us to stay away otherwise we could end up in trouble too.

I'm going to phone the local station now to see if i can find anythign further out.

Right, well just spoken to our local police station - got our crime referance number now.

Also he told me somethng intresting.. he said that a few people had also reported this. He also said that once a certain amount of money has been reported missing (all linking to the same person) they then have to pass it on to a CID and let them deal with it.

So for all those people who have not yet reported this guy PLEASE DO IT ASAP!

how ever if we turned up on door step demanding the money whats he gonna do?

According to the infor i have found out about him, assuming it is the same guy.

He lives on a boat with his wife, so he travels around abit. He is abit of a computer wiz kid that works for tv broad casting company. Hes all so on facebook.

And the c u next tuesday has had me off with 50 notes

lets hope the boys in blue catch him before he does it again.

Did a search on the name he used N. Hewitt and the IP address.

as for people taking the pi** how would u like it to pay for summat and not recieve it, hope it happens to you and we can rip u , just shows that there is some people that find it funny to have people ripped off !

you'd have to take him to court or even civil court and you'd hopefully get your money back, I've reported it aswell and its in the hand of the police headquarters!

I only did a search on the name that he gave me and his bank account details.

We are all muppets for falling for this scam in the 1st place.

and i was the one that told you all and you still went ahead lol

I know hindsight is a great thing, but looking back at the original post £290 for a 2000 Gti engine and box would have caused the phrase "if something looks too good to be true..." to pop into my head!

I'm definately up for going round to see him now...hes had 180 notes off me, and after speaking to my step dad (financial investigator at southampton CID) the police cannot arrest him unless youe can prove that he never intended to send you the items, and even if you can on arresting him they would not have the power to make him pay you back...on the proviso he has enough money to do so anyways.

so basically the c u next tues has got away with it.

hmm i dont think it works like that, contrary to what you say...

I'm afraid so...because unless you can prove he never had any intention to give you the goods or he has used a false bank acount it is a civil matter...I'm as pissed off as anyone else i lost 180 quid and my step dad can get all his details but cant show them to me!! :x

well why are the police doing anything if thats the case?

we have the guys details, so police arent going to do anything, so its time to sort it yourself guys

if this is what the feds do then they are seriously shite
