Indicator Not cancelling out on MK4

Hi all i haveva mk 4 polo & havingva nightmare with the indicator stalk.

Basically it will indicate one way the not cancel out even if you try & knock it off with your hand.

& as if summits broken, it will go off but i have to use pure force & it sound like its breaking summit each time.

Anyone know what ill need to fix as i phoned the breakers up & they asked if i just wanted the stalk??????
