sorry yeah but the people who have exspressed their opinions looking at the locations are pretty far away from it and have never exsperienced it first hand. I'm not sayin they carnt have an opinion but your basing your facts on a load of shit on youtube. Maybe if you where to visit with some mates and just chill out then your doing no harm. i have an opinion that its abit of fun but I'm not denying that its not dangerous. We have the Beach Boulevard...lots of people park up, people do 'laps' at a legal pace and some people like to have a wee race...or get pulled over by the police...then rimmed for various offences. Some decent people I know go there (we even head down on the odd Friday night for a laugh) but it is populated by a huge amount of idiots (bouley bashers 'ken!) who shouldn't allowed on the road in their crappy cars. Sorry, but no - I'm not going to let this one go - this is a PUBLIC road. So its not just the willing participants in this particular piece of Dick Headdery that are 'taking the risk', its any unfortunate sod who happens to be passing along that particular road. Take it to a track or some other piece of private land, anywhere that isn't a public highway. Look at what happened at Basset's Pole ffs, someone got killed because of dickheads pissing about on bikes.

It is illegal which is something i didn't mention. Speeding on public roads IS illegal for all those who assume i forgot this. As for dangerous, it's as dangerous as you care to speculate. Motorsport is dangerous - type in "racing crash" on youtube and watch a few. Looking at those videos how dangerous is racing in general? Again it's as dangerous as you want it to be. I'm not condoning it, but as i said in first post "it's a good night up hams hall".

How many of these idiots have built their cars to MSA safety regulations? Have 4 marshalls per 50yrds or so? How many have taken their ARDS? How many have had ANY competitive driving experience whatsoever?

That would be an EXTREMELY small number, probably none.

Anyone who has had any motorsport or trackday experience will know that driving like that on any public road is just complete lunacy!

I've seen quite a few accidents up there as well.............caused by little twats!!! n that aint opinion thats fact!!!

it happens +over here too BUT the police are efficent enough to get it sorted quick. They just hang around in the local sainsburys carpark where they're normally watched over by a cop car or two.

Most people head to the other side of boston where theres an old WW2 runway. Its on some guys land but slip him a tenner and he lets you get on with it. Best way of doing it - out the way of people who just use the road to get from A to B.

now that is a really cool idea! a tenner seems steep if you want to go most weekends tho lol now if land was avaliable I'm sure it would happen there and not on the street. i now where i would prefer to go!

theres an abandoned air stripe near me, not sure where tho exactly, we tried to find it a few times some years back after hearing kinda where abouts it was but with no joy.

I'm not sure where the one near boston is but my mates have been down so I'd have to ask them. £10 really ain't steep considering it's on someone land and he has been known to appear with his shotgun!! After a while though, he just let's you get on with it.

No matter on the amount of other places to go off public roads to race there will still be people who think its clever to do so. As long as one of these knobs dont do any harm to anyone i care for or damage my car then imho they can carry on and learn its not big or clever the hard way (if thats what it takes) but god forbid it should be by causing harm to anyone except themselfs but lets be honest this isnt always the case.
