STD test straight away!!!

Compression test will be quick and easy way to find out the cause and ultimately the extent of the problem. Its the only way to go. Hope the car isn't too feckered

Rubbish trying to find the cause of engine trouble so definately get it compression tested asap.

I had been driving that car round about an 1.5 hours from pure excitment off having her back again

The only abuse it got was a tickle, where I raced a guy on a bike off the lights

It was his fault He heard me pulling up next to him, then looked at the decal down the side off the car, smiled at me, I smiled back and we both knew we were gonna do it haha

I beat him off the lights (i was actually impressed with myself being a woman and all that haha) but because it was wet I just sat there spinning up through the gears haha and he just looked at me nodding and smiling and then we had a little play up the road

That's what G riding is all about tbh heehee

If you got a daily slag then its all good then. I can imagine how itchy (nothing to do with STD test ) you are wanting to drive it but as long as you have some wheels then its all good.

Declare it sorn, save a little and then get it sorted when you can. Money is a bitch when its tight but it will be worth it in the end. Spend the money where its needed. A compression test will help you make sure the money is going where its needed.

TBF I have had the G for 9 months, probably only driven it for 4 or less

She had 139,000 miles on her when I bought it and is now just over 148k

Think that shows how much I love it considering it's only used at nights and weekends

Money is what I haven't got any off atm, so all I can do is relocate it for now, get diagnosis and start saving them pounds to get it fixed!

seeing as there were about 5 g40s at bvf(well 4 on sunday as I sold one of mine) you should've got a few of us round. Me, Yoof, Hayesey and Samg40 managed to put toothies on and change a cambelt/waterpump and heater matrix when we were half p1ssed!!!!

Shame I didn't know you were all going cause, I'm sure we could have sorted something out

However, I did finally tow this last night to a business where I am awaiting a diagnosis. I do not want to tow my G again ever, especially when it's pissing down with rain, I can't see (Battery dead and cant use hazards, lights or windscreeen wipers), my exhaust rubbers decided to pop off half way there (good job I had an old back up in the car from previous problems of the same kind) and then grounded out on all 6 speed bumps going into the business park because she's so low. It was an experience to say the least It was a scary journey!

Not looking forward to the results, oil spat out of dipstick is not good as you all know Easy fix, blocked breathers? Good luck with me and this car? Not gonna happen. So I'm preparing myself for the worst!

Anyone got any ideas on what they think I should do if it is worst case?

I need the cheapest ideas (pay cut and possible redundancy, I'm not as flush as I was) and if they involve keeping the G then I'm all ears obviously! But I really just don't know what to do This car owes me £6K, that's why I decided to keep it cause I'm never gonna get that back.

What am I looking at in regards to new engine costs (without blower), if I just sold the shell or totally cut my losses if I broke and sold everything?
