I have German left hand headlights, ie. I blind anyone coming towards me when they're not on full beam, so I get flashed and full beamed all the time at night

Back from the MOT and all passed, with two advisories - Small oil leak from engine and headlight lamp benders

And german rear lights is cool mod to do, just use the passenger side 1 and it makes the arse more semetrical (sp?), only you will have a red reverse light! lol

I got used too it, only happened when I upgraded the bulbs late last year

I know, i need to do that, I've got OCD and it runs along side symmetrical (<--- spelling heehee) and matching stuff so it's something to add to the to do list I forgot haha

Gonna do that with my rear lights too, but have 2 reverse lights instead, not bothered about the fog light missing!

With the sump guard, did you know vw made a geniune 1? I think you can still buy them too? sure someone will correct me though!

Looks like a good spec that, don't lose the love it gets you through to your next fix!

I don't get the headlights though. Did you swap for German ones? Can't be arsed scanning back to find out why but considering how cheap it would be to get UK spec ones why are you hanging onto headlights which don't light the road up properly? I drove around Germany last year with my lights taped up to avoid dazzle, and you can't see that much. Mk3 headlights are shit enough anyway!

They came on the G like that when I got her, a previous owner must have put them on or wouldn't really give a fuck tbh Yeah theyare shit thats why I bought new bulbs at Christmas time haha and they do light up the road properly, believe me. The beams just shoot over to the right at a great height, even more so now I've lowered her

Caught my attention because I've got a ceramic coated manifold and quite fancy going stainless. I'm wondering if it's best for me to just go the whole nine yards and get a fully stainless manifold and downpipe, hadn't considered getting just the downpipe done.

You need to get the bosch w5dpo spark plugs, not cheap but best ones for g40's.

And have you checked for boost leaks etc if it feels slower?

I've spoken to hayesey today also had some advice of DK So I'm getting both sensors and new sparks (again), moreeeeeee fucking dollar

Hayesey says Lambda... Dans saying blue sensor, so I of course hope DK's wrong

I'm pretty negative anyway, don't worry. Never clear in text though is it!

Well if its lambda probe, you can disconnect it and it will run in a base mode so you can see if its faulty.

Is it smoking or anything? Checked the compression recently?

And tell me about the dollar! iv melted another piston so have to buy another 4, another 520 quid down the drain! then i still have to carry out the transplant into the the new white mk3 shell! Cant wait though!
