definatly not putting a new new engine in it....its to original to start messing around with. Just sorting out a few engine problems, unsure on some of the problems but it definatly needs a new carb, air feed, manifold and system.....plus I'm giving it a mad service!! Auto box ftw....its as smooth as and pulls so much better than my polo.....I'm a lazy bastard to so its allll goooood!

i sold it to a lad who lives near leicester last thursday ! So yeah you probs have seen it! Glad to hear he hasnt stacked it and its still scrapping along the tarmac! Didnt realise how low it was intill i started driving this mk2....the polo used to scrape on overything! Not to say I havnt had a few scrapes out the golf

For starters i had it for two years as my first car and was getting a bit bored of the performance etc. Other than that, no other reason. I loved driving it around, used to get loads of looks!! Plus I did all the work i wanted to do on it....so i sort of lost enthusiasm and the will to through money at it!! But it seems I'm right back into the spirit of money throwing with this golf, oh lord
