Just got these pups today....15x8.....

gunna polish the dishes 2moro....I'm still unsure about what colour i should paint the centres though....

Any ideas....need some inspiration....

colourcode the centres with a cream lip

just dragon green centres and polished lip would look hot,,,cream lip would look wank,,too much colour happening on wheels!!!

Ok just gunna say...black or colour coded centres I'm not a fan of....

dude i think the wheels are too 'busy' to have colour on them if you know what i mean, thats my opinion anyway

i think the vw logo on the steering wheel is nice little touch

If your gonna use those wheels and your going to be refurbing them anyway I'd suggest stripping the lacquer off the lips and mirror polishing them. My mate had a set of Keskins and he kept them clean but even still they seemed to lacquer peel really quickly and badly. Since there off the car with no tyres makes sense to do it now rather than wait for them to get ruined!

^^ yeah just my plan....I've already sanded down all the lips from 60 to 400....gotta get on and work up to the thousands now....I'm just having trouble getting all the flakey chrome of the bolts!! Any ideas....??

dunno man....do a chop on photoshop an see what it looks like!! But dont think the black against the red would be a good contrast? Thats only my opinion though....

A little progress on refurbing my wheels....3 of the wheels have decent paint so i've keyed them up for a respray, but the fourth wheel was a bit flakey so i decided to strip down the crappy paint so i could get a better overall finish! Here's a few pics of the progress so far! I'm starting on the dishes tomorrow....

All cleaned....

first layer of nitromors on the flakey wheel...

In the bag for 40 mins...

The second layer on the back of the wheel, nitromors destroyed the paint....

After 2-3 layers (nitromoors...scrape/wire brush...wash...dry...nitromors...etc)...nice bare metal...

completly stripped, ready to key up...

Hopefully another update tomorrow....

i am sure you can buy replacement bolts for these if needed, 185/45 tyres are a must on 15x8

if you paint the bumper in the green/cream scheme i vote for it the other way round!

i remember someone ages ago having 8v bumpers with upper parts satin black and lower parts dragon green matching the rest of the car!

looks ace, was rolling on polished powertechs!

Yeah wish i could afford some 185's!! I'll get a set as soon as but I'm stuck with 195's intill then which aint to bad!

My Rear 8v bumper is screwed...all dented and I've basically finished smoothing my 16v one...so looks like the 16v is going on!! That would look mint though your right! its so anoying not having my car on the road!!!

thanks mate! Its anoying...the only place i can find that sells 185/45's is mytyres at £160 for a set!! My 195's only cost £130 posted and they are the same make and everything...ahhhh!
