What is your bonnet and roof? just matt black paint orrr?

You might have seen my bitcin thread the other day - a load of second year students came into our halls property and vandalized a load of cars 6 people need new bonnets including me :S

WTF!!! Hate it when people get drunk and decide to walk over people cars, its so selfish!!! Its satin black....just keyed it up and painted a few layers on! But tbh its probably worth getting hold of a compresser and a gun if you can...but no worries if you cant, just give it another layer if it goes patchy! Gunna go find that thread now....

i love your car so much wish i had bought a dragon green now! I'm on my first car just gradually doing it up as the money comes in, still needs loads of work done on it though.

Managed to drop my car a little for the lincoln meet a few weeks ago but not all the way due to the fact that I've got to do alot of travelling!!! So plans are to give the ride a change of colour when Uni ends....the paint work is so shit on it at the moment and it really isnt worth forking out a few grand for a respray when the cars worth nothing....so d.i.y paint job it is!! So just need some ideas now....

Dont think I'll be going down the matt/satin black route as I want to do something differant but had a play around anyways!!!

Any opinions or suggestion would be really helpful!!!

deep dark puprple with the white alloys would look awesome and isnt common at all !

Managed to get a new headunit and sub few days ago....just waiting to get new wires and a decent amp so I can install the sub!!

was driving along behind a van today and out popped a brick that was lying in the middle of the road....me and my mate pulled a few crazy cringe faces and we mowed over it.....it made such a horrible sound!!! Just had a look under the polo and its put some pretty hefty dents in the underneath of the car....plus my strut brace is definatly bent due to numerous knocks in london....so that will be coming off soon....pictures to follow tonight and a big suprise in the not so far future....gunna keep my mouth shut in till its all finished though.... :biggrin: :biggrin:

A little update of what I've been up to ....

Just made it in....

everything off....

8v bumpers put aside for something new...

bonnet strut added....

painted the wiper arms, good as new...

relocated the washer jets...

few randoms....

looking great mate, coming along nicely.. the bonnet strut seems a good idea, was it hard to do?

no really easy!! You just need a decent drill with the correct size metal drill pieces, then follow the instructions!

so basically drill a a correct size hole in the side then just bolt it all up? I'm pretty much crap at doing everything so would it be pretty easy for me?
