Yes, what you have kindly pointed out is that on a bike you CAN fuck it up. In a car all you can do is trust what the guy with the calculator says and hit the ramp as a precise speed.

well yes thats true if you had no idea what you were doing, but you could also fuck the take off up in a car if you (or the bloke with the calculator) had no idea. also if you do mess it up on a bike you have the opportunity to correct it after take off, some thing that you haven't got in the car. saying that i'm guessing that neither of us are ever gonna jump a scooby 170 foot to know for certain, so its a bit of an aimless argument

Yeah it's probably done in a few takes, as it's obviously shot over quite an expansive area.
