And i thought PP meets where "by the people, for the people" so surely they belong to whoever turns up...?

WELL SAID THAT MAN !..........where we meet /who post's the meet .i dont think anyone is bothered. but people organising meet's and people coming to them is what we all want i think?? thets stop working against each other and set up a MEGA MEET "DUBSHIRE" FTW

I agree! This meet started out life on the you've been spotted section about two weeks ago with just a few polos from the immediate area going but as time whent past it gained more interest, which is good! It wasn't claiming to be anything special or compete with PP, just a nice light hearted gathering of polos. It's just a bit of fun! I feel a bit sorry for James and smithy etc, and it's a shame to see some unconstructive comments!

What we need is a massive list of post codes, literally everyone who could possibly come, then plot them on a map, with say a 40 mile radius circle around them, then pick a central point. Then scout locations, carparks, multistoreys etc. in that locality. Then make enquiries as to who owns them and if they would be adverse to us holding a quiet gathering there!

Just my 2p

Sorry me and currie man didn't make it, weather was crap and the 4WD was there to be abused round the shire.

Will try and come in either that or the lupo next time.

What Renegade said

I totally forgot about this, I did go for a drive in my G and found myself in Wales

To be honest it was barely organised thats why i left early along with RFKdemon. And its silly to get defensive about the groups merging i think its great

why have .lets say 2 meets with 10 people at each when we could have 1 meet with 20 people

Right, firstly thanks to everyone that showed up, despite the crap weather. It was great to meet people and have a good old chat!

Thanks to Marty for those 'rushed but still better than your average' photos 8-)

To kinda set the record straight, this wasnt organised under the PP name, or meant to compete with the PP meets, its not like we've come on saying 'new west midlands meet, good alternative to Propa Players!' is it?

As Kirk stated, it literally was a few of us from Walsall in the You've Been Spotted section, that thought yeah, may aswel meet up for a few photos, then a few other people got intetested so i stuck it in this section to make it easier.

The people saying it was shit, badly organised, a waste of time etc.. well you're entitled to your opinion..

We didnt put this up under a club name, it was literally just a get-together for a few pics. Granted, the weather was a let down, and we didnt know the pub had closed, else we'd have gone inside..

If you're more bothered about the organisation and location, than actually meeting and having a good chat with some local dubbers, then there's not much point in going to a meet.

I got cold, and wet, and kicked off 2 locations, but met some cool people, exchanged a bit of banter, and still managed to get a few good photos.

Cheers everyone, Chris.

^^^ Amen to that

+1

exxactly!!!

i love going to the meets and i wasnt having a dig at anyone in particular, all i said was it could have been better organised,i got to meets more or less every week and know have a loads of friends all over the country from it,it would be good to make it a big meet i just dont think we could get the numbers for two meets

i apologise if i offended people, but like hoppy i speak my mind

I didnt take any offence dude, I'm just trying to emphasize that this was pretty much a random thing, allbeit a bit unorganised, it was still a laugh in the end.. woulda been fun to convoy around like 12+ cars searching for locations lol.

and i wanted to go but was decorating the daughters bed room ....i love red but i love britney more x x ......its good to see people meeting up in the mids

can we not make the meet a bit later, cause 3pm is shit, by the time your up and about on a lazy sunday, had some lunch etc its time to set off, you then get to the meet for 30 mins to an hour of daylight and by the time you get going at 6 or 7 its wasted the whole day.

i never bother to come if I'm going to be late cause half the time its meet at A then go to a pub or somewhere iv no idea wher it is.

why dont we aim for more of a no rice evening thing, I'm sure there would be a better turn out as some people only get sundays off.

ps. can it be a 'car meet' with no vw ties now hehe

I wouldnt mind a Lancia turning up thats for sure ;)

And yeah it wouldnt hurt having it at like 6, as long as we have a location sorted.

If its gonna be for photos then we really need something like a multistory..

Chris, is it worth popping up the multi storey we were at and having a chat to security and see about us using it, it may sort of dispell the 'boy racer' image that they may have had of us on Sunday

That may be partly my fault jon, being a country bumpkin I dont frequent multistorey carparks that often and couldnt resist checking out the acoustics with a quick blip of the throttle!!

Naughty

Might be though John, as James said, we went to the roof at like 10pm on a sunday before..

Probably just think we're gonna be a nuisence.

My old man said the bottom level's always open, and i didnt see any barriers at that entrance, but you have to get a token or something, its free for an hour though.

Multistoreys are ideal, and that ones open late and is easily accessible (compared to others).

Still might be worth a pop down for a chat, might be able to negotiate the use of the level we were on on Sunday rather than the roof (better for crap weather)

Ill have a word with smithy about going down this sunday, but if its a different security guy every sunday - one might say yes while the other thinks different. Fucking the whole plan up.
