West Midlands Meet..

Featured Replies

I'd just upload them in this thread, or in the pictures bit of the forum?

battenj - It was the first meet, we were never going to be the most organised, look on the bright side, we know that we're not allowed on the nickelodeon car park, maybe when the pub is open again though, as we'll have people going into the pub etc. Plus, if we park nearer to the pub that might work to our advantage, the rain was a bit shite too.

Me and Smithy went to the Asda car park a month or so back...no problems getting in and out and that was about 10 or 11pm, i think he was just being a cock. I spoke to him on the way out and he said that police come at nights and check nothing is going on, he probably though we'd be doing doughnuts and that so just covering his own back.

I think it was alright, no trouble, everyone had a good chat and laugh...even if the weather did hold us back on a lot of things.

Loved all the cars there, thanks for coming!

whats the point of having two meets in more or less the same place on more or less the same weekend,

@bort,i know it wasnt a pp meet but it was most of the same people who turned up,so i thought it was a combined effort tbh

and me....

Is it worth trying to find a covered car park for PP meets and having a chat to security before hand like Nav does for Skool Dropouts in Oldbury?

it was cool to meet everyone

i'm up for it again although either weather permitting or yeah a good idea of being under cover.

i dont know the west mids so i cant brainstorm though sorry! :(

Jeez what a waste of my life, just another bunch of kids with polos again......mind you wasnt as bad as the polo show lol

Yep i don't know of any but please people put ideas forward.if there is interest i will get some new PP 09 stickers made that I'm thinking of pricing at £5 to pay for them and for us to buy a banner/sail to be used on our own PP stands next year .opinions please ????

yep there are lots of kids with polos but lets not slate them lets help them .as for the meet it's what you make of it and as for the POLO SHOW :lol: how much was it again :lol:

Well during this winter time i think a pub would be a good idea (i know that was plan for this time but the pub was closed *doh*)

Well by the sounds good thing I didn't make the 45 min journey out, I just got to look @ Currie's Lancia!!!!

A combined effort would be good.

I still don't get why meets are so poorly attended in the area that we are as there is a good number of us around!!

Let's face it, it's winter, alot of meets hit pubs this time of year due to piss poor weather conditions. Personally the old Hilton site is good with the option of the pub so you can go sit & have a good old chat!!!.

BORT, I'll pop along for a meal with you & Zoe, let me know what the crack is!!!

NEW STICKERS WOULD BE IDEAL!!!!

P.S Answer your phone!!!

Dan

If the fella who started this thread could just update it saying a few photos were chucked on here :)

Otherwise sorry about the lack of quality.. i wasn't expecting to be sprinting around with a tripod whilst the gatekeeper was closing the place down around us?!

Deffo a meet with a lot of potential maybe even enough to take over the world?

It was a good turnout and i think the multi-story would have been good for pics if we were allowed to stay. But i don't think i'll go there again as it has left it's mark on my sill

Dan

Edit: Great pics Marty and it was good to meet you

Hmm 1st post? What car were you in? Did you even bother to talk to anyone? I wouldn't consider myself a kid, I'm 24!

MartyP - nice to you again matey, shame we couldn't talk longer! Cheers for the pic, looks awesome

Great pics!! especially considering the time you had lol. I thought it was a good turnout :-)

Maybe I shouldn't butt in at the moment as my car is broken and going nowhere, but I never went to a Hilton Park Services meet that *did* end up in the pub? TBH it might have been better if they did, as some of them were *cold*. :(

fuck about a good turnout guys, now if we can merge the PP and the new faces here we could have a sweet sized meet going, cant wait till i get back and cars on the road again :)

Boys speaks wise words :-)

It has taken a long while to get the PP thing off the ground in the area so why they can't merge isnot un-realistic I wouldn't have thought

You didn't come to the right ones ;) lol

You have been too busy playing with engines with no radiators!!!! :-p

bring penny along and then you wont be cold,or bring the camper!!!!!!

first thing was it wasnt very organised i had to phone 3 people just to find out where you were moving to,where did everyone go after the multi storey anyway?

so much potential in the midlands for a huge meet, but always seems to fall flat on its face for some reason

I'll liase (ooh big word!) with James (jamesu1990) next time to get the whole sort of walsall/cannock contingent that was most of the meet today plus us few PP regulars for later meets, say March onwards to get a big local one going, under the PP banner maybe but with an addition

theres no point having two tbh
