Heater Controls Bulb

Polo Mk2

In the dim distant past I remember the fanspeed heater/freah air controls being illuminated.

Now it's just dim.

I can work them by touch in the dark, but if there's just a bulb to replace does anyone have any idea how you get at it?

Or am I confusing it with the Mk2 Golf which used clear plastic magic to spread the light?

No there's definite mention in Haynes of L16 fresh air controls bulb in track 83.
