agreed. and actually i did drive at the speed limit in my town when i passed my test and still do :p so I'm not lying to myself. only on late nights or clear pieces of road is when i put the foot down a LITTLE (not 100 in 4th then roll it more like 55-60 in a 40 is all i dare as i want my license for my life

My issue is the 60 in a 30 and running from the police. I have joined motorways many a time over 100mph and max'd the GTi when its silly time at night on the motorway - I leave other funny business to Castle Combe Track Days (£30) and you can get around 110mph on the fast bits in 4th.

Have i got this right? you were getting followed by the police and hid (bet you think your mint for that).

a 30 is a 30 for a reason. I'm just glad there wasnt a kid crossing the road, you would of took them out even if you hadnt lost it cos you never could of broke in time, but if your bouncing off barriers totally out of control whats going to happen then?

To be fair, like kerrly says above, you wanna drive fast on a motorway, a long straight road thats 2, 3 or maybe 4 lanes and where there are no pedestrians- be my guest. but not in a 30 where the kids are playing and grandma is walking the dog.

Police might be dicks but to be honest i'd rather just get a telling off and fine than risking crashing or even killing someone especially if the roads are icy.

I'm not having a go as i've been an idiot when driving plenty of times when I first passed my test but honestly just slow the f*ck down. Your going to get a lot of hastle from the police regardless wether you drive like an idiot or not when you start driving but just don't give them more an excuse to stop you.

..No sympathy deserved in the slightest.

Your insurance is £55 a month for a provisional license I assume?

Usually it is less while you are on a provisional then gets bumped up.
