CE is still smoking although not quite as much. Took it for a long spanking over the weekend, it was fun, snapped the bloody arb bracket again. That needs some doctoring, found another turbo kit so I'm gonna chuck the new turbos from that on it. Then rally it some more untill the bodywork literally falls apart, all the arches have cracked from the abuse. I love that car, so do the police though :lol:

My mates trying to persuade me to put the spare 24v engine and turbo kit from the coupe out the back in the 190. 3/400kgs lighter than the CE.

Doubt the 190 would put the power down anywhere near as well as the CE though would it? Incredible in the dry really!

Yeah tis true, but can you imagine how comedy it would be? Think I'm going to enjoy the 16v for the moment, the lump would go easier in a 2.6 190. Maybe when I've got a few out the way.

Wasnt happy with the head on the parade engine, so thats got no where.

CE is in bits, got another turbo kit, cant decided whether to swap the lot, or just the turbos, both a pain.

So, as expected, I bought another polo. But have decided to stop fannying about, and concentrate on this one till its done. Finally get to use my Mk2 G40 front spoiler after however many years and a bunch of other bits.

So I started on the engine, a 58k G40 lump, changed every gasket and seal on the bottom end, hopefully wont leak for once!

One of my special uprated kevlar clutches...

Attatched it to a lightened flywheel.

Got some bits from the powdercoaters.

Then I started cutting holes.

To fit this in...

Now I just want to sling the lump in and drive it, but the engine bay lets it down really, not sure I can be arsed to paint it all though. Hmmmm.

Cut the front panel for the G lader.

Chopped a new front panel to make the boltable flap.

Then started marking up some squares to give the cooler some air, might cut them tomorrow.

gonna be sweet! I'm so jealous i would kill for a mk2 g40...
