yeah, i had afew running issues pop up today outta nowhere! started panicking that it was gonna be expensive.

checked everything like i usually do but couldnt find the cause. Got the 20miles home from where the car was playing up, called my mate whos bloody handy and he fixed the car in 10 seconds flat. boost return pipe tothe ECU had popped off and as it was hidden, i didnt notice it! aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrgh!

Power steering makes for weak men.

I hate power steering never and never personally owned a car with it, i learnt to drive on a car with it and that was that.

The only car I'm glad that has power steering is mums 9000, trying to get that to turn after the pump failed.

i like to be able to feel the roadthrough the steering wheel

You still can, with a good power steering setup. It just seems to be the more modern ones that sap all the feel.

The basic deal is she holds all the money - if i can convince her the outlay is worth it i can get her to buy 2 g40's, one for my saloon and one for her mk1 golf.

i'll get my car trailered to you if needs be! lol. It'll end up being a trailer pimp anyway! Just make sure you untie your other half 1st or i'll have to take the passenger seat out! lol. Gonna find some time to check the car over completely this week, maybe pop to GSF for new plugs and leads and then it should be ready for the weekend if you're available?
