Looks like a decent upgrade to me. Shame you have to sell the Gt really if only you could keep it as a 'weekend toy'

thats what i wanted to do, keep it as a weekend toy and for summer drives

but, its not possible by the looks of things :(

its very different

speed wise..yeah it picks up well...noticeable on the motorway, just got more to give...

cornering....the GT felt fast around corners, you dont realise how fast your going round corners in this!

ride, its great, cant fault it to say its on coilovers...very different

creature comforts, its nice to have good heating the choice of temperature and aircon e.t.c, xenons are great never thought i was guna be impressed by headlights....i miss my GT leather recaro's and go kart feel tho

I know what you mean about the Go kart bit it really is a lot of fun to drive and just keeps asking for more me when you throw it a bit of a beating.

I'd love to find something fairly new that I can just get in and drive that is a comfortable cruiser and I can just get in and drive without having to worry about looking after it. But i'll find a way to keep the GT or go without a new car :-D

Like you said though, you are going quicker in this one, I was most impressed with the ride with a set of KW coilies on the one I had though, dare I say, far more superior handling to the MK3's

Only fault I had was the thing was dam thirsty if you did give it some beans................but then I was looking after the gearbox on mine so I never did

from personal experience i can tell u this car will defo go upto 125mph ... i was in it when it did so.. made a chav in a megane luk silly when he tried to chase us.. its a good buy you got mate.. wish i never let it go but when i had no money i had no choice.. but when u decide to sell it eventually send me a messege..

if anyone says owt about gearbox's....al kick you in the nuts am sick of hearing it all

Looks nice, always good when you get a load of spares with a car too. I'm guessing he included a couple of gearboxes? They should last you a month or two, or so i would hope.

Mk5;s do handle well on coilies, a mate had a 1.4 16v on FK's that handled brilliantly, he was running D90's with dunlop sp9000s which seem to be super grippy tho.
