quick pic of my bros bug running a 2109cc ran a 14.1 1/4 for his first ever run

booked two weeks of at the start of feb so i can start my bug :-D :-D

Also, been making progress on interia retrimming this last few days

The car came with metal chequer plate door and rear 1/4 cards, they had to go

So untill i find some mint original cards, i decided to make my own

Bought some ply and drew out templates

I'm doing a white vinyl retrim, by myself first time too

So bought some vinyl, ivory white

I didnt want to just cover the ply with the vinyl, so i bought some foamy shiznitz to line it

One door card lined in foam

And the lot trimmed in vinyl :-)

Not the best finish, but fuck it, it isnt going to be a show car and it was my first go at it

Going to start on the seats tomorrow

Yeah was at it untill 9 ish was gonna fly over to the meet but i thought against it, was it good?

nice bug dude. i've gone and bought myself a 1965 single cab. failed its MOT twice now although the first time it didnt even make it to the MOT station haha. no regrets though. good luck with the bug

Little update

All is good though, after a few hours of sweat and a couple of 5 year old girl stylee tantrums (smacking the car and all ) I've managed to sort it all out into workable bundles :-D

Just got to replace a few sections and sort a couple switches now, then its rock rockity rocksworth of cansasville with working electrics - YAY!

Keep them thoughts to yourself you sicko, dont be bringing the tone down on my thread :-D

I've been trying to master the art of sewing with the vinyl, started small with a headrest, it looked ok but wasnt perfect so i ripped it up

Took me a while to master the sewing machine too kept forgetting how to thread it all up grrr

I will conquer it though, going up to my bros today to have another bash, maybe pics later...

Wiring is a biaaatch, when i ripped the dash out of my Mini, found years of bodged repairs where the dood had not replaced wires just made a loop of wire round the f***ed section!!! Dont blame you for the tantrums mate! ha ha
