The latvian bloke is in court tomorrow following this for:

1. Dangerous driving
2. Driving without a licence
3. Driving without insurance
4. Failing to provide a breath test
5. Assulting a police officer.

I have spoken to his "insurance" luckily its the same company I'm with, they say they will should be able pay out for all my cars once all the paperwork and initial police stuff is sorted then fine the latvian dude for all the costs incured. And yes he has to pay for the Fiesta aswell.

I still cannot believe its happened. I had to go out last night after it and get rather drunk.

Whats not even worth thinking about is the fact that less than an hour before it happened I parked the GT up behind the valver and sat in it for a bit as I always do.

If the impact had happened then I doubt I'd be in a fit state to type this.

Because it was an early merc S class its built like a tank, the roof was a bit bent but otherwise fine. The driver and passenger got out pretty much unhurt just a few cuts and bruises.

my girlfriend just had a similar but involving cars that where stationary waiting for a car to turn off at an hotel.

A guy went up the backend of my girlfriend pushing her in to the car in front that in to the car in front of that and then in to the car that was turning off.

and the car that crashed in to my girlfrend his insurance is paying for all the vehicles involved.

i was involved in a shunt and i claimed off the person who hit me - not the person who caused the crash!

the person i claimed off claimed it all back from the person who caused it.

And YES this was the correct way to deal with it as it was such a mess and i was in a right state - the police at the scene did all the paperwork and all i had to do was provide my insurance details to the local police station.

and in my case the person involved was over the drink limit and was charged with driving without due care and attention (hit a stationary car at traffic lights at 50 in a 30 zone without any braking.

very similar scene to those in the picture. i was very lucky! not only did a lorry not hit me (i was shunted into a cross junction) but my escort i replaced with a volkswagen VERY LUCKY!

Hope it all works out for you chap - i really do, hope what happens to you isnt what happened to me! i had to endure 1 whole year of shit while the case went to court and nothing was paid out until it was all over!

Edit: Worlds full of arseholes like him too bastards! hope you get the money u deseve back and a bit extra for the hastle, might be worth trying asking the insurance can u keep 1 or 2 of your cars and u give them £20 each for them, i did that with my 1st austin when a cock jumped a red light and killed it and it got written off, but it was worth more in bits and i got to keep it.

you will have to fight for it tho. insurers are always up for taking your money in a flash when you take out the policy, but tight as f*ck when something happens
