Tav's Clio 182 Cup

Featured Replies

The Fettercain to Banchory road is possibly my all time favourite driving road....

....and the car imo looks better blue than white Tav.

I'm really missing my G40, it's like an inner calling for that crazy feeling you get when you put foot down in a silly powered FWD hot hatch.

I test drove one of these a while back, you could say I'm biased as my admiration for the Clio Williams is through the roof but all I can say is what a car the Clio 182 is.

Looking beyond badge snobery, I would say that for a replacement for a G40, out of the box affordable fun, nothing comes close.

It looks as if you've found a nice car there Tav, I hope you enjoy it.

I am enjoying it very much, how's the MX5 treating you?

Buster I had to go do it again after I washed it, what a road! Shame it's slowly falling into a state of disrepair.

Had it RR'd and it's making a healthy 180bhp, which for a Clio isn't always easy, so I'm delighted!

I need two new tyres now and they are £105 each, that's a little hard to swallow but they are so good it's worth it.

We went over a couple of weeks ago and there are a couple of bits

that are pretty shocking although the run from Clatterin Bridge to the

summit is still as much fun as it was the first time i did it....

Those Clio's are such cool cars.

The MX5 is boring, it's too slow and has no involvement around the bends.

I'd rather drive a kick in the teeth, torque steering, FWD monster that'll snort and snarl its way up the road.

I've been looking at 172's, the 182's are just out of my budget, I may wait a little longer but I don't think i can do another winter in the MX5.

Although the money I'd save on fuel is probably worth it as the 5 guzzles it, last week only I got 22mpg, that's good for my car.

Get another G40 Quinny ;)

Yeah I'm interested in one, had an insurance quote for a G40 and was pleasantly surprised.

I felt like jumping out the window when I found out I'd just missed out on buying my old one back.

That is pretty much my logic, HAHA.

It isn't fun if it isn't a challenge.

Great choice Tav!

I don't miss my polos now. I went and bought this,

But then I was doing 90% motorway travelling so the fuel costs were killing me.

So I'm back to VAG now,

Oil burner!

I'm into my trees as well. My favourite is 'New car scent'. Always a winner.

Funny you should say that, I was thinking the same thing today when taking the photos. It's quite feminine, but then being french you might expect that. It's quite cutesy, prob. why the girls like them too. Bit like a Lupo in that respect I guess.

Yep, definately like a Lupo in that respect, or the Lupos fat sister, the MK6 Polo!

thats classic indy!!
