Alot of people who say they've paid months ago etc. haven't even pm'd a member of staff to politely chase it up.

to be honest how many of you have been scamed ? that i know there only 2 or 3 and theres so many otherways of attempting to stop the small number of scamers. . . but i guess now its changed its gonna stay like that :(

I gotta say I'm abit disappointed. I used to be a member but to be honest there was never anything interesting in the members sections so didnt renew. I haven't been coming on here much for a while now and without the classifieds there isn't much point coming on at all. Bad move.

Scammers will get round this regardless, think of the money you pay on ebay, the effort u have to put into creating an account, paypal, etc etc and people still scam on there, if it means a scammer will get say £100 from selling coillies that dont exist, then there still going to be £95 up...

...I'm all for the mods trying to prevent honest hard working people from losing thier money, but i think it will just be a case of people having to make up thier own minds as to whos honest and who isnt by using a little bit of common sense...

....as for it been a money making scheme, WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT!!! the money they would make is SO minimal that its not worth ANYBODYS time or effort, plus the MODS have created a forum for !!US!! in thier spare time, theyve gone to a lot of effort to make this forum work, so dont accuse them of being money grabbers...BANG OUT OF ORDER!!

...anyway as mentioned just check the vital details, PHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESS because if they are scamming they're NOT going to match up

I think theres a LOT of users on here that arent PAID UP MEMBERS and they do generally just enjoy looking to see what bargains are in the classifieds, me being one of them but i think its going to create a massive drop in clubpolo's classifieds, unfortunate for the genuine honest people.

I have to say it is one of the main reasons I come here is to check on what's for sale, I'll probably come less and the stuff for sale will probably fetxh less so people who are sellin will probably be unimpressed.

totally agree. I'm on here daily n try to advise people as much as i can.. members or non members.. noobies or what ever. got to say without the classifieds i dont think i will b around much either.. will just spending more time on ed38.

I got scammed years ago out of a tenner by someone called jamin iirc, i still think this doesnt help. Sticking with buying off people where i have seen there name enough times has worked for me.

[To what? £1? Web servers are not cheap and this place needs one hell of a server in order to keep it running smoothly. Some people may remember the old server and the problems encountered when there was hundreds of people online at once? £5 is very cheap. If you can't afford £5, you cant afford to run a car!

I can easily afford £5 right now, I dont want to though, I really don't see the point in paying to browse the for sale sections, And if the upkeep of the site comes into it then i think its about time to start putting advertisements on the site/forums.

That isn't the point really. It's not me that'll suffer it's the members. Afterall hits on the for sale items has probably just reduced by half in one day. but on the bright side there'll be more G40 stuff on Ebay without the daydream prices.
