can check up on past posts to see spam. USE PAYPAL YOU ARE PROTECTED - everyone has an email for paypal. job is definately done

So you personally would check every single post on the forum? to check it's not spam, then delete it if it is spam?

Because I have a full time job during the day, so that'd be great if you could do that for us.

you are a mod. I am not. I did not volunteer to do that, you did. Do your job.

So you're expecting me to quit my full time job to moderate club polo full time.

I think if you volunteer to moderate a website, you do that. You don't cut off things because you can';t be arsed to moderate it properly. If your full-time job is so demanding, step down from CP.

If you are saying you don't have the time to moderate the forums maybe you should step down, Ade did, Robin did the same when he no longer had the time.

lol, just because i'm the technical guy who put it in place, I get all the flak.

Truth is, it was a team decision.

Now i've been called a theif, scammer, liar.... the list goes on.

Right.... brain wave...

What about if I was to limit the restriction to JUST the wanted section?

Would stop the PM trouble we've been having, whilst still allowing non subscribed members to browse for sale sections?

if it's a 'pay to ask for stuff' then that's still quite bad. I think you should limit post counts, i understand that you're finally trying to compromise but it's the forcing of payment that's the issue here. Others, feel free to drop opinions too lol

well this is bollocks

for been on this site a while now, regular poster and met many clubpolo'ers in real life

and now i have to be a member to view the classifieds to view stuff i have for sale...a shed full of polo bits

sold my car through clubpolo and its old engine, many bits, never had a problem with the buyers, or even buying stuff for my self, used my head, did my research and paid either cash on collection or paypal.

for fuck sake

well done clubpolo :|

no-one's forcing anyone!

There's been a members only section for years, lol. Falls under the same point you're trying to argue.

The limited post count's simply won't work, we've decided that already. I'm not the only one who's said that. So PLEASE drop it now.

so only members can view and post the wanted section?

Why dont you just put it back to how it was before.

Sticky and lock this whole thread.

First person to get scammed and moans gets re-directed to this thread and complains to the 200+ or whatever posters?

what use is that? people can still look and put topics in the for sale section which is where the scammers spring up. just leave it as normal and put a message up about scammers in the annuncment area. job done.

Mate, if you'd read my posts, the main problem with scammers was that they were trolling the wanted section and PMing users!

So....

Restricted Wanted section and an announcement or possibly a link to an article about how to buy things safely online?

how's that sound?

no-one's forcing anyone!

mate i'm not bashing you personally, and i will drop the post thing (despite seeing it work on other forums). I think you should just lift this ban, that's my point. I buy and sell things on there with no problems, I'm no member and i'm no scammer. ALTHOUGH polo9 did try and scam me, so i thank DKnight for pointing him out... But i asked for photos and demanded paypal.

Right.... brain wave...

I think that is a good idea, mainly because everyone is free to browse for sale sections.

Do it! x

I do also think this place needs more moderators, as it's catering for all models of polos, thats a lot of people!

i dont use paypal an i sell loads of bits.. its either cash postal order or cheques an thats how I've done it for years

just cause there been one or two who have pulled a fast one with people cash the whole forum has to suffer

panda give up, all you do is post patronising replies

this is about the change to the for sale section, it wont work

are you going to consider what we have said?

wouldnt it be great if you replied with something like

"well guys I've seen the 4000 viewings of this post, and alot of you have made some good points, I'm glad to see people actually giving their views, we will have another chat in the admin section and see if we can sort something out"

instead of your patronising power trip replies.

nice dodge

why can't the questions surrounding this be answered? instead other things being brought up in the thread are being answered in a way to dodge the real questions that should be being answered, panda maybe you should consider a future in politics?

Still i bet all this has made the club a killing compared to normal.

nope.

i genuinely think a "BUYER BEWARE" in BIIIIIIIIIG red letters at the top, and open it up. only way this will workk. lock and sticky.
