I've got a couple more active members in mind who seem keen to take on a moderating role. This will be discussed and confirmed at the RR day.

Hopefully i'll get the chance to modify the permissions today :)

You weren't one of them mate.... lol.

Nah, i'm gonna post in the admin section, see if anyone's got any views, then take it from there. As that worked the last time didn't it? lol!

sounds good, think you clubpolo should get some nice volonteers to sort the membership out too i.e the yearbooks, stickers and all that

nice to see that this has all been resolved and the testosterone levels have dropped lol

Oh and would like to add yes anyone can join for £5 but they have to provide us with certain details and it more hassle for them to have to join up.

we do have people sorting them out.. the printers are taking their merry time though...

just a quick one i have filled out my membership to the club just wanted to know on the time scale i dont mind waiting at all just would like to know that was all (when do i become a member)

I'm sorry to keep rattling on

but you need to be specific with these "certain details" because all are easily faked...

I still find it very strange that you say:

"i feel we have a job to look after the forum members MORE as they are paying at the end of the day."

Look after them? you have had a sticker, membership pack issue for over a year now, it just doesnt make sense?

People have made it quite clear this is a bad idea, and proved it, and i am still yet to see any mod, admin, infact anyone lay down some exact reasons as to why making the for sale section, a paid members only section.

get a decent damn printers then, what are you exactly waiting for? I'm sensing yet again, nothing but a scapegoat...

No Dan please keep rattling on as you put it, it is fine. I would rather you did so we can try and answer your questions so you are happy.

Dan if you click on Join now you will see what details we ask for. Yes they could be easy to fake but think about most things in this day and age lots of thing are easy to fake/clone or what ever. If some one and clone cards then i am sure people can fake the details to join. But we are only a fairly small website not MI5 so i am not sure what else we can do on that front.

I say look after them as every members money that they pay us also goes towards the running of the site. So for that money we should try our best for them to be able to log on and sell some thing with out being scammed.

yooooooooooo what the hell is going on? iv been using this forum for years and always love using the classified section! sort it out, take this bullshit off!

I've been a registered on the forum for ages, either a minimum post count or you have to be registered on the forum a min. of 3 months or summit.

I'm registered on 12 forums and 3 clubs,

I do the trophy presentations at Ultimate Dubs,

Concours Judge at NWVW,

Judged at CGTI events,

Host the Charity Auction/Raffles @ Detailled Awesome event / Detailled PSI event / Dubfreeze auction / etc.

I dont wish to pay to join another, i only sell cheapo bits on here or give them away.

And its handy to get stuff for my mams 6n. :p

Regards

Paul

When will it be back then, as the title says?

I've been a registered on the forum for ages, either a minimum post count or you have to be registered on the forum a min. of 3 months or summit.

And how will that stop them? They would sign up and and put shit all over the forum to get there post count up and then just wait three months before scamming people.

which is just as easy as paying a fiver

why can't people just use some common sense... and any known scammers can receive a dry bumming from my horse... if I had one...

perhaps some needs to be implemented.

its probly been said but why not just use a toned down version of ebay feedback if you havnt got enough positives you dont sell.

Its been said more than once in this thread, it would be a huge task to put something like that onto the forum.

but if its the only fair way of stopping scammers.........

no, that's a shotgun

but if its the only fair way of stopping scammers.........

As of my experience, scammers just put up quite a few for sale threads at a time, if you see he hasnt got any feedback then you just think hes just started selling a car that he might be breaking or something. There for, sell 100 of £s worth of stuff, people wait two weeks for the item and dont get it? Theres ways around every way anyones come up with and I dont think there is or will be a solution to stop scammers on this site

Has the classifieds been changed back to how it was before ?

if you wanna change it i reckon a post count should govern it ?

good idea...no ?

Thing with that is, and Peedubstyling did it, all you have to do is sign up, do a few posts in the technical section (his were normally "Take it to a garage"), then bugger off for a few months, then when you come back to scam people, you're an established member who's been about for ages with a decent post count.
