I'm in the process of fitting a Mk5 dash into my Mk4, can't wait for the end result!

the only hard thing that i am havin a problem with at the mo is the dials are not quite working as you may see from the pic where i am doin 6000rpm at 0 mph lol

Easy way to solve this problem is to get a hold off some early Lupo Dials, cause the Mk5 dials work with Can Bus Technology and has two plugs where as the Mk4 runs of normal Voltage changes and has one plug into the back of the dials! The older Lupos never had the Can Bus Technology back then so where still like the Mk4's... Hope that makes sense and helps you out!

Not easy at all... I must have searched around 8 Lupos in scrapyards and had no luck!

So I'm still searching!

You might get some PM's in the future regarding fitting the dash and wirring up etc.

i have found some clocks by the way. europarts!! u tried them?? they had a hole box full, full of them so thts all good, its gone in for the week for tthe dials to get sorted and double din put in so wheni get it bak everything should be done so cant wait!!!

as far the trimming the cage, you thaught about using whatever doing some stitching down it, then wrapping it round and gluing it making it look stitched?

sure i have seen it somewhere probably in some PVW, but looked really good, an reasonably easy aswell i guess..

yer they seem the best to get them from, um haven't got prices for them yet coz mate brought them for me that is doin my dash and said dont woory about them so cant be much but ill ask for you.

yer thats what i had in mind stitchin with black stitchin i think so it sticks out abit more than just red or something, yer dont no how easy it would be, obviously wouldnt do it myself havnt really done much stitching myself lol
