a mate found this pik while lookin on other forums, its a pik from E38, thanks to whoever took it! thought id share it with u all.

time for a little update i think, haven't been doing much to the polo but been wheel whoring it instead.

decided to furb up my 2pc SSR splits, they r very rare as far as i know, I've only ever seen 2 sets of 14's but no 15's.

heres what they looked like before, id ran them on my mk4 polo for about 3yrs, never really took care of them tbh.

had a pretty hard time trying to split them, a mate ended up cuttin the nuts off the back but at least they were apart, so off to the powdercoaters.

tried one in my basket, very happy!

next job was to get the baskets polished, so off they went, also had some centre caps made that included the spigot ring and had them poloshed too, pick the baskets and caps up at the end of the meet but they've kept me updated with piks, big thanks to joe and dan!

before they got polished they were very shitty!

after a bit of polishing!

and one done with a centre cap in, just need bolting together, will use these wheels next yr wen the weather is a bit nicer and probably keep the bandies for shows.

Been ages since i have seen the polo!

yea, been to a few shows n stuff with it but u went to action wen i went E38 n haven't seen you at the meets for a while! need to get my winters sorted n then ill be in the gti more.

got a few little updates,

finally got my BBS furbed up for the winter after having to get my dad to knock out a dent they aquiered from the powder coaters. heres how the polo stands at the moment.

i dont really like it on the BBS so I've been doing a bit more whoring on another set of wheels I've had lying about for ages. bought these castellets for £50, were badly curbed but nothing i cudnt sort. i got them blasted and powdered in black and was going to get my dad to machine them down but he's been too busy so i decided to take matters into my own hands, with the help of my other half!

this is what they looked like after being powder coated, the centres look funny as i was gna skim that part so they didnt put much powder on the centres.

1st we went over them with the mouse to see how bad the curbing was, then out came the file to get the worst of the curbing off then another going over with the mouse.

then went over the centres ready for some satin black :)

we've given them 1 coat of satin black, 1 wheel needs a bit of filler as it was curbed in the centre and u can still see it. once thats all done they will get a final coat of satin black and then the very outter lips will be polished up agen, think I'm going to poilish up the centre caps and get some sort of black sticker for the middles. should be finished by the end of the weekend, got to order some tyres, was going to go for a 155/55/14? then get sum spacers n wack them on the GTI as i dont like the bbs that r on it at the mo. will get some final piks up soon!

i think the BBS's tuck too much, i prefer the look of the polo on the bandies but just not suitable for poop weather n pot holes... id rather have g60s but i had the BBS laying about for a quick fix to get my bandies off. castellets r cummin along nicely, so ill see what they look like :)

small update,

finally finished all my wheels altho I've only taken a pik of the 1st one i got finished. just need to sort my center caps out, got some stickers for them, they just need a polish and then a rough up to make them have a satin finish with no rubbing down marks in. my tyres turned up this week, they will be put on on monday, gone for a bit of stretch, ill post piks once the tyres are on. heres a pik of how my wheels all look now.
